The new EL2 form for ECG requirement for high school students playing sports is now available. This can be completed by the parent after getting an ECG at Who We Play For or by us (as your referring physician). Beginning July 1st, all Florida schools will be requiring 9th graders (as well as anyone new to playing sports) to have a normal ECG to play. Next year, high school student athletes of all ages will be required to have an ECG prior to sports participation. This is being done to address the tragedy of sudden death in athletes.
