Day 2 at the Showdown in St. Pete! 🏀

We’re excited to share that Kindest Care is spending the week cheering alongside our amazing client Gary, as student-athletes take the court for the very first D1 College Basketball Showdown in St. Pete, hosted by Eckerd College!

From Thursday through Saturday at 11 AM, you’ll find us in the stands soaking up the energy, the excitement, and the genuine sense of community that sports always seem to create.

At Kindest Care, moments like these remind us that our work is about so much more than daily support — it’s about connection, joy, and experiences that truly brighten someone’s day. Seeing Gary light up with all smiles taking in the atmosphere of live college basketball is exactly what fuels our passion for compassionate care.

🌟 Kindest Care at the Showdown in St. Pete!🏀💙

We’re thrilled to share that Kindest Care will be taking part in something truly special this week — joining our wonderful client, Carlus, to cheer on the incredible student-athletes competing in the inaugural D1 College Basketball Showdown in St. Pete hosted by Eckerd College!

From Thursday through Saturday at 11AM each day, we’ll be curtsied soaking up the excitement, the energy, and the sense of community that sports bring to life.

For us at Kindest Care, these moments go far beyond a game — they’re about connection, joy, and creating memories that remind us why we do what we do. Watching Carlus’s face light up as he gets to experience the thrill of college basketball in person is what kindness and care are all about.

We’re so grateful to be part of an event that celebrate teamwork, inclusion, and the spirit of togetherness right here in St. Pete. Let’s make it a weekend to remember! 🏀💫

Direct Support Professional/Caregiver-Float

At Kindest Care, we are more than just an organization of HomeCare and support services. We're a mission-driven organization rooted in respect, response, and choice. Since 2011, we've been dedicated to meeting people where they are, working alongside them to provide person centered care to allow people to live independently as possible. You will work directly with people in need of assistance, and/ or living with intellectual developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs clients.

**** in order to eligible for this role you must have a valid drivers license, ability to use personal vehicle on the job, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.****

To qualify
Must be atleast 18yrs old
Previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
Valid drivers license: Insurance consistent access to vehicle Is required.
Complete necessary trainings prior to starting

What we offer

Part-time, day/overnight availability
Med, Dental and Vision via Marketplace Plans
Growth and Development Opportunities
Weekly Pay Cycle

What you will do

Provide client care In float capacity for schedules, emergencies or fill In assignments at residential homes or In facility settings.
Enrich the lives of Individuals while maintaining a safe, healthy environment.
Provide companionship and personalized care with respect of dignity while encouraging Independence and self care.
Assist clients with ADL’s.
Meal preparation and snacks
Light housekeeping duties
Provide mobility transfer assistance which may include mechanical lift devices.
Assist with transportation needs in the community.
Able to use and regular access to smart phone and computer devices to use programs to enter daily documentation after service delivery.
Medication Administration/Training provided by nurse.
