When people hear “core,” they often think of six-pack abs. But your core is so much more — it’s the entire network of muscles that support your spine, stabilize your body, and help you move efficiently.

Your core includes your abdominal muscles, yes, but also your lower back muscles, pelvic floor, diaphragm, and deep stabilizers that work together every time you stand, walk, or lift something.

A strong core helps you:

- Maintain good posture
- Reduce the risk of back pain
- Improve balance and stability
- Make everyday movements (like bending, twisting, and reaching) easier and safer

You don’t have to do endless sit-ups — in fact, overtraining just the “surface” muscles can cause imbalances. Instead, focus on functional moves like Bird Dogs, Dead Bugs, standing marches, and planks that engage your deep core muscles.
Think of your core as the foundation of a building. If the foundation is strong, everything above it is secure. If it’s weak, cracks appear — in posture, in movement, and even in confidence.
