So everyone KNOWS to drink water, and plenty of it, but we seem to struggle to actually drink enough of it daily. WHY?!?
☕️Maybe you’ve replaced it with coffee, tea, soda, juice etc.
💧perhaps you struggle to even know how much is the right amount, so it’s a moving target every day
😣The intention is there, but you don’t set yourself up for success easily
And all of this leads to having less energy, feeling exhausted, and overall not supporting our bodies the way we need to.
🎉SOLUTIONS🎉
🌅 Start your day with water- drink a small glass, have hot water with lemon, drink a bottle on the commute to work. However you do it, kick the day off right:)
🧊You replaced water with another beverage, replace that beverage with water!
-instead of that second cup of coffee, have water
-instead of juice, add fruits and veggies to flavor your water
-need the soda for the afternoon pick me up: grab a sparkling water
Crowd out the things that have replaced water for you, in 3 days you’ll notice a difference:)
❓Know how much you should be drinking: half your body weight in ounces of water. This gives you a 🎯 and intention, a double dose for success.
💪MAKE IT EASY TO SUCCEED:
1. Have a favorite mug or bottle on the kitchen counter in the morning to cue you to drink water before you go for caffeine
2. Splurge- buy the oversized water bottle at 50oz that makes you excited to drink water and get a general idea of how much you’ve had so far that day (or whatever your idea of splurging is here)
3. Always have water in reaching distance of whatever you are doing
4. Turn your other drinks into treats, not necessities (I make an exception for coffee and tea here, as long as I’m on track for water intake, I will always enjoy some tea in the afternoon and coffee in the morning)
5. Set the goal of drinking half your weight in water daily for 21 days. After your body gets used to the right amount (bathroom breaks will become less frequent), you’ll feel a huge difference.
🌻21 days helps you with mind body connection. When it comes to water, you’ll feel a difference in a week. After 21 days you’ll easily be able to identify when your body is lacking water, and you have the easy remedy, drink more😊
