Last week my dear, old friend, Kevin, made a post allowing his friends to ask him anything from a list of questions that he could uniquely answer as a transgender person. Since only about 1.14% of the population in the US identifies as transgender, that tells me that MANY people don't know a trans person, personally.
I thought it was very brave to open up and answer questions for people who are curious or would like to understand their fellow humans better. I asked, "What worries you most as a trans person right now?" And this was his answer.
How silly is it that so many issues that we have as a country are being projected and blamed onto a group of people who only make up such a small percentage of Americans? Trans people are not doing the things being suggested. You are being made to believe they are a harmful group and they are not. Trans people just want to exist. The group is a scapegoat for the long list of other people who are actually doing what they are accusing trans people of.
Don't let people insult your intelligence by believing in the crazy things they are suggesting. You are smarter than that and can find the actual answer by going to someone who can speak from experience. Thank you for reading. And thank you !đđłď¸ââ§ď¸
