Puppy yoga with and some of their puppies up for adoption was a blast!

I had always wanted my own dog, but when I met Archie a few years ago, I was at a time in my life when I didn’t want to be tied down to any responsibilities.

I wanted to travel spontaneously and stay out late with friends. I didn’t think I had time to care for a dog.

However, I went to my friends house to play music with her and a cute guy one fateful night.

She had told me was fostering some dogs for a local rescue and one of them was an adorable puppy.

I immediately fell in love with the tiny orange yapping creature that wouldn’t stop pouncing on me and trying to bite me with razor sharp puppy teeth.

Long story short, I ended up fostering him for a few nights before he went to get neutered and adopted my a different family.

My heart was BROKEN when I dropped him off and knew I wouldn’t pick him up, but I was convinced it was for the best because I “wouldn’t have the time for a puppy.”

I wanted more time to decide if I should adopt him or not, but the rescue couldn’t wait - they had families ready to home him.

But in a twist of fate - even though I had given my final answer and been told another family applied to adopt him - the rescue called me and said, “we wanted to ask one last time, are you sure you don’t want to adopt him?”

I saw the divine sign. Adopted noodle boy (that’s what we called him as a puppy). Now we’ve got a whole family.

Oh and the cute boy that was there at music night when I met Archie was Jo. Fate is funny like that.

Anyway, I’m telling you all this because we’re having PUPPY YOGA at the studio. You by no means must adopt a puppy if you are not ready BUT all the proceeds from class will be going to so they can continue their work in our community - homing our furry friends.

Grief gets “stuck” in our bodies and in our energy. This class will help you work through grief, with breath, movement, and sound. This is a gentle class including breathing techniques, simple yoga poses, and a healing reiki meditation.
Grief comes in many forms with many types of loss. In the case of Jennifer Liberatore, who teaches this class, it came from the loss of her son Zach Liberatore. (Zachliberatore.com)
