✨ A Soft Reintroduction, From My Heart to Yours ✨

Hi Seekers, my name is Mai and I felt called to softly reintroduce myself, not just as the Founder & Owner of The Light I Seek, but as a soul who has walked through many shadows to arrive in this gentle season of light.

The Light I Seek was not created in a single moment.
It unfolded over almost five years. Years filled with quiet battles, lonely nights, tender awakenings, and tears that shaped me in ways I didn’t understand at the time. Looking back now, I can see how every experience, even the painful ones, guided me to this exact chapter, where peace finally has space to breathe in my life.

I am a:

✨ Intuitive Reader
✨ And a gentle seer of the quiet things most people don’t notice.

But I am also something even more sacred to me;
a mother to two beautiful children, a dog mom to my 6yr old Siberian Husky Mikko and to my 7yr old Pomsky Maila.
My children and my fur babies are my grounding, my joy, and the softness that fills my days.

I was born in a refugee camp in the Philippines. My family are Khmer Rouge Genocide survivors. My roots are of the Khmer Kingdom. But we were graciously saved after many years of surviving and found our way to America and I know reside in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I chose, The Light I Seek because I know what it means to search for clarity, for stillness, for truth, and for a way back home to yourself through the darkness. And if I can be a guide, even in the smallest way, it would be an honor to walk beside you.

To everyone who has found me, trusted me, supported me, or simply held space for me, thank you.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude for each and every one of you.
I’m so excited to continue connecting, healing, and sharing love and light with the world, softly, gently, and soul to soul.

I want to gently say thank you to everyone who has supported my journey, my business, my dreams, and my healing. Your presence, your belief, and your kindness have carried me more than you know. I am endlessly grateful for every soul who has walked beside me.

My greatest guide has always been my grandmother, Nancy.
She was light in human form, warm, soft, loving and she continues to be that same radiant light from the other side. When she passed on Easter morning, April 17th, 2022, something shifted within me. A doorway opened, and I stepped into the spiritual calling with her guidance.

🐾✨ Meet Red — The Grumpy Uncle of Frenchies ✨🐾

I recently had the absolute pleasure of connecting with Red, a French Bulldog with the personality of… well, not a grumpy grandpa, but definitely a grumpy uncle. 😂

At first, he came off serious- dry humor, unimpressed energy, the kind of guy who’s seen it all. But once Red realized he could actually communicate with me, it was game on!

He shared that he hates long walks (especially when his dog mom’s daughter-in-law takes him on marathon strolls). Apparently, they give him breathing issues, and he’d much rather be in a stroller like the royalty he believes he is. 🚫🐾 “No grass, please... germs,” he says.

Red also wanted to make it clear that it was a grave injustice when no one shared a piece of steak with him the other night. 🥩 He did get a fried egg a few days ago, which he loved, but now he wants more of that treatment.

His perfect day? Lounging on the couch, favorite TV show on, drink in hand, and someone hand-feeding him steak. 🐶🍳📺

Such a fun time connecting with this dry-witted, lovable “Grumpy Uncle.” Can’t wait to see how the holidays treat you, Red! 💛

Halloween on Central in Downtown St. Pete, FL this past Sunday was a vibe! 🎃🧙🏽‍♀️🐕🐶🐾
Central Ave was blocked off from 9th Street to 31st Street and filled with vendors, food & live entertainment. Trick or treaters with 2 & 4 legs were dressed up & they didn't disappoint!👻🎃🕷🕸

Lately, life has been a beautiful whirlwind; balancing a full time career, being a single mom, running a business, and holding space for others to heal. 💫

Sometimes, I forget to pour back into myself. To pause. To breathe. To refill the well that allows me to keep showing up, not just for others, but for me.

Healing isn’t only about helping others find their light, it’s also about nurturing our own too. When we take the time to ground, meditate, journal, stretch, or simply sit quietly and listen to our hearts, we return to balance.

So this is a gentle reminder, not just for me, but for you too.
Take time to slow down, to breathe, to just be. Prioritize your emotional, spiritual and physical well being. Give yourself the same love, care, and compassion you so freely offer others. Because when we heal ourselves, we project less pain and more love. We hurt less and help more.

And that...is the light, that I seek. 🌙✨

🔮✨ WitchCraft Halloween Party Recap ✨🔮

Our sacred space transformed into a realm of wonder, candlelight, and enchantment for our very first private, reservation only Witchcraft Event. A spellbinding afternoon filled with magic, manifestation, and connection.

Our beloved eclectic herbalist Kimmi led the circle with her deep love for herbs and spell jar crafting, guiding each guest with intention, laughter, and wisdom. With every sprinkle of botanicals and crystal added, she reminded us that true magic always begins in the light. That every spell we craft is meant to bring forth positivity, protection, and peace, never harm or fear. 🌿✨

We began our gathering with a protective and calming meditation with Mai, grounding ourselves under the vibrations & music of the sound bowls mystical energy. Then, guided by Kimmi’s herbal alchemy, guests created their own spell jars, little vessels of love, abundance, and sacred protection. Meanwhile, Mai offered intuitive tarot and oracle readings, channeling messages from spirit to help guests align with their higher path and personal magic.

Every letter was hand wax sealed with intentions, every herb chosen, every candle lit, all carried powerful intention. Our handcrafted witchcraft acceptance letters were especially magical, a keepsake of initiation into light-filled manifestation. 🕯️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who came dressed in your witchy, warlock, and mystical best, you made the evening feel truly otherworldly! And a special shout-out to Ashley, whose time, energy, and creativity helped bring this vision to life. Your magic behind the scenes did not go unnoticed. 🖤

We’re deeply grateful to all who helped us weave this afternoon of spells and spirit. This was our first event of its kind, and it most certainly won’t be our last, as you requested. The magic we created together continues to ripple through the universe. 🌕✨

✨ Find Your Stillness ✨

You don’t need to quiet your mind with endless thoughts or long meditations.
Sometimes, peace finds you in the simplest of places, sitting by the water, listening to the rhythm of the waves as they kiss the shore… watching dolphins swim freely beneath a sunset sky painted in soft hues of orange and pink.

Your happy place can be anywhere that allows you to just be.
A moment where you can breathe without forcing, feel without fear, and sink into presence without feeling lost.

This is your reminder to pause from your busy day, your busy week, your busy year...and truly listen.
Listen to what your body, mind, and higher self are asking for.
Because when we honor our stillness, peace begins to fill our hearts and souls. Gently radiating outward into everything and everyone around us.
