March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. Endometriosis affects one in ten women. It is a disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that lines the uterus grows outside the uterus in places it doesn’t belong. Common symptoms include menstrual cramps, pelvic pain, infertility, painful in*******se, and gastrointestinal symptoms. Treatment can include hormonal therapy, surgery, pain management, lifestyle changes, or infertility treatment. Early diagnosis is crucial to managing symptoms, preventing complications, and improving overall quality of life.

Menopause is a natural phase in a woman’s life that marks the end of the reproductive years. During this process, the ovaries stop releasing eggs and producing estrogen and progesterone. The lead to menopause, peri-menopause, and menopause can last for several years and be associated with a multitude of symptoms. These include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, sleep disturbances, irregular cycles and more.

Lily will be closed Wednesday, January 1st, as we ring in the new year. We have had a wonderful end of year, filled with holiday cheer and birthdays for Katie and Sonya. As we look forward to 2025, we are so grateful to our wonderful patients and look forward to being part of your women’s health journeys again in 2025.
