Heritage Oaks Assisted Living celebrated National Assisted Living Week with the theme “Ageless Adventure”. Each day we enjoyed various adventures to the delight of all. Monday was a Butterbean Auction, Tuesday was Safari Bingo, Wednesday was Cruise day with entertainment by Tim Akins, Thursday was a video walk of the Great Wall of China and a Luau dinner, Friday had us enjoying the movie, “Jungle Cruise”.

At Heritage Oaks we celebrate life. A surprise party was held for resident, John Goodrich. Family and friends joined to honor him on his 90th birthday. Wonderful refreshments were catered by Heritage Oaks.

Heritage Oaks held it's first (annual) Bake-Off. There was a variety of items from savory to sweet. Staff and Residents contributed baked goods. With 20 items to sample residents and staff had a challenge to pick their favorite. Congratulation to Veronica Lang who took home the 1st Place title with her Baked Artichoke Dip.

Heritage Oaks is proud to honor a special lady on her 100th Birthday. Happy Birthday Jean Gudmundson! Ms. Jean has been an active member of the community for 7 years, having grown up in Chicago. You can find her regularly winning at Bingo and Rummikub. She is a lady of strong faith and witty sense of humor. All our best for your birthday, Jean!
