Nolan's Striking Out Cancer

Nolan's Striking Out Cancer We are starting this page to keep everyone up to date on Nolan's Leukemia Journey. The Joggersts have a long road ahead of them with a HUGE army behind them.

This is the best way to keep everyone in the know on what is going on with the toughest kid we know!

True heart of a Warrior 💙🧡

This past Friday night, something bigger than football happened at the SV vs. Valle game. Two schools, usually rivals, came together under the Friday Night Lights with one goal: to support children and families fighting the battle of childhood cancer.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our fans and community, we raised $1,963.75 to benefit two families from each school walking this difficult journey. But the story doesn’t end there.

In an inspiring act of compassion, the Joggerst family chose to donate their portion of the proceeds to the Kutz family, whose son Rory is just beginning his fight with leukemia. The suggestion came from Nolan Joggerst himself, who, as he nears the end of his own treatments, wanted Rory and his family to have the full support of our community as they face the road ahead.

Nolan’s selflessness reminds us all of the true meaning of strength, generosity, and faith. His act of kindness turned a fundraising event into a powerful testament of what happens when two communities unite for a cause greater than themselves.

Together, SV and Valle showed that under the lights, we are more than rivals, we are one family, lifting each other up in love and hope.

Nolan is resting at home this afternoon after treatment this morning. He had a spinal tap with chemo followed by another chemo infusion. Good news is, he only has one more of these treatments in 12 weeks! He will continue with daily and weekly oral chemo for these next 12 weeks. We talked about scheduling his port removal with Dr. Hugge. We are starting to see a light at the end of tunnel. Praying Nolan can keep his strength and stay healthy. Please pray for all those still fighting, those who are enjoying life after treatment, and those who watch over our warriors from above. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.

We have been a little MIA from this page. Nolan has been doing well and soaked up all the summer activities he could. Thankfully we made it without any more injuries. I am sure Dr. Hugge appreciated that 😘 Today we sent Nolan off to his first day of high school. Can’t wait to see all he accomplishes.

Tonight we pray for all those heading off to school, we pray for those who are fighting from home, and all those warriors who earned their wings. We cherish each day, good and bad, and make each day count!

A big THANK YOU to everyone that donated to Nolan’s toy drive. We were able to not only drop off all these wonderful toys but also over $400 in gift cards for online games and take out food. Friends of Kids with Cancer was ready to stock their toy closets and start spreading the love. We will look forward to doing this each year!

Hey everyone,

I want to take a moment to ask for your prayers and positive thoughts for Nolan. Yesterday, during a baseball game, he unfortunately suffered a wrist fracture. Life hasn’t been easy for him, but he has always shown incredible resilience through everything.

Nolan has always been a fighter, and this is no different. This injury is just another hurdle in his journey, and I know we can rally together to support him during this speed bump.

Please keep him in your thoughts as he begins the healing process. Let’s show Nolan that he’s not alone in this—your prayers and encouragement mean the world!

Thank you all for your kindness and support.

We had a change of plans and will be delivering toys a little later. Soooo, if you still want to donate, let us know!!!

Sorry we have been MIA for a while. Nolan has been doing well (knock on wood) Had some random fevers, RSV and another virus after the New Year but mostly enjoying school, sports, friends, and family! He just finished his last middle school basketball game tonight. Please continue to pray for Nolan and all the other kids going through treatment. We ask for some strong prayers for our friend JJ. I know our prayer warriors are strong and mighty!! Thank you always for supporting our fighter.

Sorry for the delay in posting. Nolan has been chugging along, attending school, supported his football team, and just started basketball practice. He has been feeling good and his body has been handling chemo well. He is currently on hold due to low counts but nothing too out of the ordinary for this phase. Hoping some rest will be just what he needs. Tonight Nolan was a model in the Friends of Kids with Cancer benefit fashion show. He nailed it! All the kids did AMAZING!! This organization has done so much for Nolan and our whole family. It was the least we could do to help. The donors and sponsors today were extremely generous. It was a wonderful day and of course, they spoiled the kids. If you are looking for an organization to support, please consider Friends of Kids. They support all the local hospitals and are truly a God send for families walking this path.

Pray for all those fighting this disease, big and small!

Today Nolan had a check up at Cardinal Glennon today. He is 60 days into this 90 day cycle. Counts were good for the most part. Just keeping an eye on one for now. He will go to SGCMH for local labs in two weeks and then back to Cardinal Glennon in four to start the next 90 day cycle. School is going well! He is happy to be back with his friends. Although, we already had to have one hand xray, we might need another. He is just jumping right into those sports. 😉 Please help us pray for all our friends fighting cancer. Tonight we are sitting outside enjoying the most beautiful pond, dock, and pavilion gifted to Nolan!
