Our May 2025 caregiver of the month - Yvette "Evee" Geiger!

Evee is an exceptional caregiver who consistently exceeds expectations. She prioritizes her clients' needs, ensuring they receive the best possible care. Her communication skills are excellent, and she is always willing to assist by staying late or picking up extra shifts.

Evee is a valuable asset to our team.

Recently, one of her clients sent a handwritten letter praising her as a "Superior" caregiver, emphasizing that her caregiving standards are far from average. The client is especially impressed by her performance when she is dusting, "She does not leave a corner untouched while she is dusting".

Congrats Evee on winning Caregiver of the Month for May!

Caring for aging parents can be a rewarding yet challenging journey, especially when they are hesitant to accept assistance.

It’s not uncommon for older adults to feel a sense of pride or independence that makes them resistant to help, even when it’s needed.

As caregivers, it’s important to approach these conversations with empathy and understanding. Listen as Dr. Barry Jacobs, clinical psychologist and national caregiving expert, provides insight to help ease the transition on the ComForConnections podcast: https://ow.ly/Zwuw50WhEN5

Psychologist Dr. Barry Jacobs joins ComForConnections to help caregivers navigate tough conversations with aging parents who resist help.

Our April 2025 Caregiver of the Month - Sierra Luce!

Sierra is consistent, reliable, goes above and beyond to communicate, is a great advocate, and she always reports client changes to the office.

She is literally the sweetest person! She does all the right things for the right reasons, and gives great care to each client she helps. Sierra is extremely flexible. She looks for tasks to complete and ways to help clients, not just do what is on the "task list".

She is so very nice and pleasant to everyone that she talks to, and she leaves people feeling better than she finds them with her kindness.

Congrats on being ComForCare's April 2025 Caregiver of the month!

Mandy has been a caregiver for us for just over two years. She has had some difficult clients and they all want her to come back and be their person. Mandy has made people feel as though they are important:

Quotes from her current client’s family:

* Mandy and Client have really bonded, not only as Caregiver and client, but has become a special part of Client's life.

* Mandy is concerned for the client and makes sure that she is eating the right foods, getting plenty to drink and is just awesome.

* She assists with getting the client out of the house on a weekly basis so that she is not stuck at home. When the weather is good they walk to the mall.

Mandy has also fit into their crazy family and all of the personalities there. They just love her.

Mandy is a valuable member of ComForCare and we really appreciate her. Congratulations on winning our February Caregiver of the Month, and being an amazing example of our Core Value “Serve Passionately”.

Our January 2025 Caregiver of the Month Mukti Porter!

Mukti came to us with prior experience and we have been able to place Mukti with Clients of higher needs, and she's been able to care for each of them admirably.

Mukti is a take charge kind of caregiver that truly advocates for all of her clients. Mukti also has spectacular communication skills! She will always report what is needed and will always follow up with us, because she has a genuine interest in her clients and their care.

We at ComForCare appreciate Mukti for her professionalism and her Big Heart for the elderly.

Our December 2024 Caregiver of the Month - Cammy McGinnis!

Cammy is a wonderful caregiver. She is consistent with her clients and has a "can do" attitude. Despite having transportation issues, she manages to get to the clients no matter where they live.

Cammy is determined and doesn't let anything stop her or slow her down. Cammy rides her bike, walks or takes public transportation to make sure her clients get the great care they deserve from her. She is valued and requested by her clients.

One recent comment from one of her regular clients was " I could not see my life without her help, she is exactly what I need, and I look forward to her visits and I know my needs will all be met".

We appreciate all you do for CFC and clients! It has been wonderful to see you grow as a caregiver. Congratulations Cammy on being ComForCare Caregiver of the month for December 2024!

“If their heart is in the right place, you know they’re going to do a good job.”

“What am I going to do when I grow up?”

I had this thought driving home from the job I had for over 23 years as a software developer. I was facing an impending layoff, the second in three years, and I knew I wanted something bigger for my life. It was important to me to find something fulfilling where I was able to help others in a meaningful way.
