April is STI Awareness Month
With rising rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), it's more important than ever to Talk.Test.Treat.
STI Awareness Month - and STI Awareness Week, observed during the second full week of April - provides an opportunity to raise awareness, share resources, and reduce stigma around STIs. Together, we can ensure that people have the knowledge and tools to stay health.
Here's how you can take action:
Talk - Open conversations with your partner(s) and healthcare provider are key to prevention and early treatment. Even small discussions can lead to healthier outcomes.
Test - STI testing is easier than you think and free or low-cost options are available in Marion County. You can find testing resources on our website.
Treat - If you test positive for an STI, get treated. Some STIs can be cured with medication, and all are treatable with proper caer.
Please help spread the word and remember - Talk.Test.Treat.
