Today’s surprise practice: Table Thai Bodywork.

Today’s Client is a regular receiver of massage and normally the request is my signature massage which pulls from all western applications like my myofascial technique or Swedish or hot stone therapy.

But after a brief verbal intake and update, I suggested something different. My client had been driving for a long periods of time over the last few days and was feeling very rigid and bound. Thai bodywork is unlike Swedish style massage, and also deep tissue, in ways that the receiver is not merely laying on the table.

Thai Bodywork looks to take the soft tissue out of the confines of rigidity or stillness. Working along energy lines, starting from the feet, I explore and address blocked energy. This brings suppleness back to the body and believe it or not, tension in the neck can be traced to stagnant energy in the legs.

I work within your range of motion with compression, decompression, stretching and dynamic movement to awaken, open and release.

This is a clothed massage session. Wear loose stretchy attire and brings socks. I prefer an elevated table vs the customary floor mat. You will be cozier. The studio is chilly these days despite the heat going.

If you have aches or pains and regular table massage helps but for a short while, consider Thai bodywork. You might be surprised how much tension is global and how far this modality can reach to relieve it.

Recently, I sat quietly in the studio and reflected while having some tea. I reflected on why did I open my practice.

I didn’t open my practice because I wanted success. I did it because I wanted integrity. I don’t care about status and I don’t care about appearances.

I care about doing right by people. I care about creating a space that reflects my values. I care about practicing in a way that honors my skills. I care about being safe from toxic environments.

I didn’t open my practice because I wanted a business. In fact, I kept the idea of a business at arms length for a very long time.

What I wanted was integrity, autonomy, and ethical, professional honesty. And so, when something no longer fits my truth this is what happens: I outgrow, realign and evolve.

So now what of this space? I’m not going out of business. That’s only for Crazy Eddie. Something isn’t lining up. Is it the space? the business model? the location?

So here I am, realigning and evolving while continuing to keep to my autonomy, integrity and ethical professionalism.

and that’s how the bodywork studio was born.

My dear clients and friends,

It is with a heavy heart to announce the closing of my Salem practice come March 2026. I have learned a great deal about entrepreneurship I appreciate everyone who has spent time on my table. All I ever wanted was to ease pain and soothe stress.

For those who have purchased Session Bundles, I will be sending a personal email indicating how many sessions you have left. If anyone is holding a gift certificate, I urge you to redeem them. If time has run out and there are unused sessions, please know I will honor them via house call or when I open in a new location.

Many thanks for your patronage.

🌿 Tension Release & Lymphatic Flow

So many of us collect facial tools without ever learning how to really use them — or how to prepare the skin first.

I’m creating a small-group workshop focused on releasing facial tension and supporting the movement of stagnant lymphatic fluids.

You’ll learn:
✨ Proper preparation before using any tool
✨ How to apply oils for glide and nourishment
✨ Gentle techniques to ease tension and restore flow

Bring your own gua sha or roller — I’ll show you how to use what you already have with care and confidence.

Would you be interested in this kind of mindful self-care workshop?
Drop a 🌸 or message me to let me know.

Embracing Table Thai Bodywork. With respect to one’s medical history and careful professional consideration, this bodywork is beneficial to those in the geriatric age group. The movement is slow and with sensitive pressure. The communication is open so that proper feedback can be received. I have a 78 year old client who can now feel more upright and move with lesser or no pain.

We all age but you can choose to age with or without suffering. All contraindications considered. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Today’s practice: Sarga Bodywork

New client today came with a very specific issue. After sitting together and asking all of my intake questions and I listening to this person’s experiences, I went with my intuition to recommend Sarga Bodywork. They left the table amazed at how this technique addressed their chronic pain.

If there is an issue and you have no idea what you need, all I ask is there to be communication and trust in my professionalism. No two massage therapists are alike.
