JLAD’s incredible service dogs don't just come in different colors—they have different specialties, personalities, and that same unwavering dedication to their handlers.
Whether it's a golden retriever providing mobility support, a labrador trained for PTSD assistance, or a labernese interrupting a nightmare, each dog brings its own unique gifts to transform lives.
Because when something changes lives this profoundly, there's no such thing as too many success stories. ~🐾

Hi Everyone! Mark your calendars for our **2nd Annual JLAD Info Session**! In partnership with Dauntless Veteran Foundation https://dauntlessvf.org/ we are co-hosting this event again. If you missed it last summer, come join us - it's a pretty drive on the back roads to Gaston - and meet new folks while sipping on wine. We are excited to share some incredible news
—our JLAD family has grown! Thanks to the incredible Adults in Custody at Oregon Department of Corrections and their unwavering love and dedication, we've welcomed an irresistibly cute litter of 8 puppies today - 4 adorable boys and 4 charming girls! Their amazing mom Summer and her little bundles of joy are healthy and thriving! ~ 🐾

Wow, what an honor to be awarded the Volunteer of the Year award by the Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI), Oregon Department of Corrections! I’m deeply humbled and grateful for this recognition.

This award truly belongs to the entire JLAD team of socializers and the Adults in Custody (AIC) at OSCI. Their tireless dedication, compassion, and hard work have been the driving force behind the success of our service dog training program. The socializers consistently give their time, patience, and energy to ensure that every dog has the chance to thrive. The Adults in Custody have shown incredible commitment, working diligently to train and care for the dogs, building a program that transforms not just the dogs’ lives, but also their own.

It’s inspiring to see how this collaboration has created a space of mutual growth, hope, and transformation. Seeing the dogs flourish and knowing the impact this program has on everyone involved is truly rewarding. To all the amazing volunteers, AICs, staff, and participants who have supported this journey—thank you. This recognition is a testament to the power of community and what we can achieve together when we believe in each other.

The AICs have done a fantastic job caring for and preparing these puppies for their future as service dogs. They will be coming out on Monday for their exams and to be assigned to their raiser.

Can you believe how quickly time has flown since Moxie had her adorable puppies in April? Thanks to the amazing team of AICs at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution - EOCI these little ones are not only growing rapidly but also learning new skills every day! We’re filled with excitement as we look forward to the next chapter for this E litter. Soon they'll be receiving their names and getting ready to step out into the community! Ready or not, here they come ~🐾
