🇺🇸COMPLIMENTARY APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE FOR ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS, VETERANS, OR ACTIVE DUTY/RETIRED FIRST RESPONDERS🇺🇸

As Memorial Day approaches, I wanted to take a moment to honor and express my deep and sincere gratitude to the brave women and men who have served our country in various capacities. To show my appreciation, I am pleased to offer massage therapy appointments exclusively for active duty service members, veterans, or active duty/retired first responders on Memorial Day.

As someone with family in the military, and who has lost family in the service of their country, I understand the physical and emotional tolls that military service and first responders can have. Through the power of touch and therapeutic techniques, I aim to provide a moment of relaxation, rejuvenation, and healing for those who have sacrificed so much.

To support and honor these individuals, I am available on Memorial Day, 5/29/23, for a 60 minute massage session at either 1:00pm or 3:00pm for active duty service members, veterans, or first responders only.

These appointments are not available to book online. To reserve one of these two available appointment times, please text me at 503-409-3058.

Or, if you know of a fellow active duty service member, veteran, or first responder who may benefit from therapeutic massage services, please feel free to share this opportunity with them.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to those who have served, and those who continue to serve, our nation and communities. I look forward to serving you on this meaningful day of remembrance.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE PER EXECUTIVE ORDER 20-12

As you may already be aware, Governor Kate Brown issued Executive Order 20-12 today, directing everyone in Oregon to stay at home to the maximum extent possible and adding to the list of businesses that will be temporarily closed to stem the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon. The order is effective immediately, and remains in effect until ended by the Governor.

EO 20-12 prohibits shopping at specific categories of retail businesses in which close personal contact is difficult to avoid. The very nature of massage therapy itself is direct physical contact, and therefore is subject to Executive Order 20-12.

I ask for your understanding as all appointments are considered canceled until further notice. I will be removing client appointments from the scheduling website on a weekly basis, until the restrictions are lifted.

We face an uncertain future right now, and it's unclear what the final impact of COVID-19 will be on our health, our community, our economy and our lives. We prepare for the worst as we approach a critical tipping point in the progression of the disease, and yet we always hope that we're wrong and pray for the best.

I can say though, that once these restrictions are lifted, your continued support of small businesses like mine is what will help our community and our economy grow strong again. Small businesses are essential to a thriving economy, and will be, even more so, in the future as we repair and rebuild it.

In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy, and I greatly look forward to seeing you on the other side of this.

Warmly,
Aleta Goin

COVID-19 and My Commitment To You

There’s no doubt that the coronavirus (COVID-19) is creating challenges for all of us, both personally and professionally. First and foremost, I hope that you and your family are remaining safe and healthy. I wanted to take a moment to keep you informed of the steps that I am taking to continue to offer the same quality of massage care that you need while providing you a safe environment.

I am continuing to monitor the Oregon Health Authority, World Health Organization, and Centers for Disease Control guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of everyone in my office. Though the situation around the virus remains fluid, my goal is to meet or exceed all provided guidelines.

I always keep my equipment and supplies clean and disinfected, and I have increased both the frequency and scope of these cleanings in accordance with CDC recommendations to help ensure both your safety and my own. Similarly, handwashing hygiene is critically important in a setting like massage, and is something that I continue to emphasize. While I am not a highly public and busy office like a health care clinic, I do see an average of 12-18 clients per week, and the direct physical contact required of massage therapy increases the risk of exposure for myself and my clients.

Here are some of the proactive steps I’m taking:
1. Continuing to stay informed. I’m making a conscious effort to research and educate myself as the situation continues to develop.
2. Reinforcing my Standard Operating Procedures on office cleanliness and sanitation, with additional emphasis on cleaning high traffic areas, such as the table, face cradle/arm rest, door k***s, and flat surfaces that experience a lot of client contact, with a 10% bleach solution.
3. Continuing to wash all massage linens in hot water and dry them on high heat.
4. Continual monitoring of my own immediate family for signs of illness or ill health. If anyone in my household demonstrates any signs of illness I will remain at home until I or they are symptom free for 24 hours to reduce the risk of contracting or spreading infections.
5. Increased emphasis on rescheduling clients that I believe may be exhibiting signs or symptoms of illness until they have been symptom free for at least 24 hours.

Please understand that during this time, in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of myself, my family, and the rest of my clientele and their families, I am asking that you reschedule your massage appointment if you have any of the following signs or symptoms:
Runny nose
Sore throat
Cough
Fever
Difficulty breathing

At this time, I plan to continue to provide superior quality massage therapy services as scheduled. Your safety and wellbeing remain my foremost priority, and I will continue to share updates with you as quickly and transparently as possible. However, should you feel that you prefer not to risk exposure during this time for whatever reason, please feel free to contact me either by text or voicemail at 503-409-3058 to reschedule your massage appointments. Please do NOT email me, as I do not check my email frequently.

Thank you for your continued trust and support in me, and in Superior Massage LLC.

Warmly,
Aleta Goin LMT #7755
