If you drive by our dental laboratory at 3201 Brandon Ave SW you will wonder where we are with all the construction going on around us. We were the FIRST business that moved in here and soon we will be joined by others in this multi-million dollar renovation of Brandon Surgical Arts. Check out the article in the Roanoke Times:

Crews will redevelop a row of mostly vacant office buildings into two medical centers offering skin care and oral surgery along a stretch of Brandon Avenue Southwest in Roanoke.

What does it take to move a dental lab? We are finding out right now! It takes lots and lots of boxes and some amazing, hard working employees! Zuber Dental Arts is packing for our big move right now. We will be moving at the beginning of next week. And we are hoping to be back up and running by Monday, August 22. WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO PICK UP AND DELIVERY THROUGHOUT THE MOVE SO CALL US IF YOU HAVE A CASE. Out of town doctors should continue to send cases to our old address until we notify you. Thanks for your patience!

Please join Zuber Dental Arts in congratulating Mitzi Nunley Sutphin CDT on 30 years of service to our laboratory. Tim Zuber CDT started the lab in December 1989, and less than a year after opening asked Mitzi to join him. She was working at another Roanoke-area lab and took a real gamble when she said “yes” to joining a business that wasn’t even a year old yet! Mitzi is far more like family than an employee. In a small lab like ours we get to know each other’s families – spouse, kids, grandkids, parents! We have experienced life’s highs together and consoled each other through life’s low points. We appreciate Mitzi everyday but on this special day we want to tell the world how important she is to us and to our business! Mitzi is a graduate of the dental assisting program at Virginia Western Community College and is certified by the National Board for Certification for Dental Laboratories in removeable partial frameworks.

The American Dental Association is warning dentists to be aware of where their restorative appliances come from in this era of Covid-19. Many laboratories across the country outsource some of their work, even to off-shore operations in other parts of the world. Your local laboratory, Zuber Dental Arts, DOES NOT OUTSOURCE work to any other laboratory, especially overseas. The appliances we make are made right here in our Salem office. We thank the doctors who support local work done here in local laboratories.

As dental practices across the country begin to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the ADA and National Association of Dental Laboratories are encouraging dentists to conduct the necessary due diligence when sending work out in order to determine whether dental labs are offshoring production.

Welcome back doctors and dental staff! We sure missed you! Tim and Kelly Zuber have been keeping the lab open for emergencies since March 20. We brought two awesome technicians back this week. AND next week we'll have all our outstanding employees back. It's been a long haul and there are many changes. We look forward to working with you and we are glad to see your smiling faces even if they are covered by masks!!!!

Tim Zuber, CDT spent all day putting up plexiglass partitions between each work station at Zuber Dental Arts with enough room to slide case pans underneath. This is one of several new safety changes here in the NEW normal. It’s good to have a handy guy running the show. We look forward to hearing from many of our doctors starting Monday. Be safe folks.
