Yoga connects the mind and body and can help manage chronic pain by improving flexibility, reducing inflammation, and strengthening mental resilience.
It benefits conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraines, and low back pain.
Research published in Annals of Internal Medicine found that weekly yoga improved mobility more than standard care for chronic low back pain, while another study showed similar results compared to conventional exercise therapy.
A meta-analysis of 17 studies involving over 1,600 participants also found that yoga improves daily function, posture issues related to osteoporosis, mood, and overall psychosocial well-being.
