As some of you know, Dr. Laseter left the practice awhile back on a health leave, but is doing great! He has however decided it’s time to retire!

Dr. Laseter after months of careful consideration has put full trust in Willis Dental Practice to take over all patient charts and the practice going forward. Willis Dental is approximately less than 2 miles away from Dr. Laseter’s office, and is located at: 631 Jason St. STE. #150 here in Salem. Happy Fall Patients! Just a reminder as we are nearing the end of the year, that our schedules are really filling up, and like most companies, we are short-staffed as well.

Hygiene appointments are booking well into the New Year right now. If you have remaining insurance benefits that you would like to take advantage of, and work that needs to be done, please do not hesitate to call ASAP to get scheduled. As of May 1st, the State of Oregon will be allowing medical and dental practitioners to resume full service care (including elective procedures, cleanings and exams). Dr. Laseter’s Office will be reopening on May 12th for all procedures. We are still available this week to provide emergency care.

While we are excited to get back to work and provide care to you and your family, we will be using the upmost caution as our communities health and safety is our number one priority. The State of Oregon requires several standards are met prior to starting elective procedures, and unfortunately they can be especially difficult for dental offices. It is critical that we have enough personal protective equipment (PPE) for our team. As you have probably seen in the news, the nation is having difficulties procuring enough for our hospitals, let alone our dental clinics. We are actively working to source that equipment while still being sensitive to the needs of our community.

Also, due to the open nature of our operatories (the room where we provide your care) we are concerned about airflow during certain procedures. We will using CDC and ADA guidelines for air and surfaces cleaning standards to determine how long we need to wait between patients to ensure the air and surfaces are sanitized and safe for our next patient.

Please, if you know you are in a high risk category, if you may have been exposed to, or think you may have COVID-19, do not schedule at this time. We are suspending all short-notice cancellation fees until further notice. We also ask for your understanding if we need to reschedule with short notice.

If you do have an appointment, there are new guidelines we are following to ensure safety:
-Dr. Laseter and employees will take their temperature prior to each work day.
-Appointments will be staggered to maximize social distancing.
-If possible, please wear a mask until in the operators.
-Hand sanitizer will be available before, during and after all procedures.

If you have any questions about your appointment, please do not hesitate to call. Thank you all in advance for your flexibility during these ever-changing and unprecedented times.

During times of uncertainty with this covid-19, we are doing our best to help our medical partners, (urgent care, and the hospital), to help alleviate their burden.

If you are experiencing a dental emergency, (tooth pain, swelling, infection, broken teeth, trauma to the mouth), we are open for limited hours and happy to see patients on an emergency basis. Please CALL our office to schedule or for more details, if you get Vc. Mail, please leave a msg. We will promptly return your call. Thank you.

We wanted to take a moment and update you on the COVID-19 situation at Dr. Laseter’s Office, and the precautions we continue to take.

We have, and have always had, above and beyond satisfactory infection control procedures. All patient care rooms are sanitized after each patient. All dental instruments are sterilized in a sterilizer which is continuously monitored by Oregon Health and Science University under procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

We have increased our disinfection procedures on counters and doorknobs in non-treatment areas.

If you are feeling sick, please call us to reschedule your appointment. Do feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns. For many who have had concerns over missed appointments, we want to express that we greatly value the health and safety of our patients. We will not be charging patients for missed appointments who are sick.

Thank you to our great patients, who continue to make our office the practice that it is.

Our office is unexpectedly closed today as all of our computers were down. We learned there are many other offices impacted by the outage. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We will next be in the office Tuesday, July 09 for normal hours with the 4th of July holiday. Staff will be in/out checking messages for emergencies. Feel free to call the office and leave a message. Happy 4th!

The good Dr. is not only passionate about dentistry, but music as well! Many of our patients, young and old enjoyed listening to Dr. Laseter and his band play at an event this evening. The video is shared with permission by wonderful, long time patients. Their little one was a lot of fun to watch tonight! We look forward to sharing other future events on our page.

This out to our patients... (because we are asked quite frequently), Our office is now partnered with an insurance broker. This is a broker that we meet with on a weekly basis, and we trust.

We have learned if you are under the age of 55, this broker can now assist you in finding a dental plan that meets your needs. We know she has plans with MODA and DELTA (who we are contracted with), for very reasonable rates, (around $37 monthly for an individual) with great coverage. The key is to sign up from Nov. 01- Dec 15, which is open enrollment, or if you have a qualified reason for losing insurance. Call the main office number for more info on this! We are excited about this!

IF you have any concerns, or issues that you would like Dr. to look at, please also call in as soon as possible. We do our best to fit patients in as soon as possible, better to catch the small problems, and fix before they become big problems. 😁
