Mikki Trowbridge Yoga Yoga adventures, events, inspirations and teachings - both on and off the mat! http://www.MikkiYoga.com

An Oregon yoga and SUP yoga teacher and creator of Yoga + Beer pairings, Mikki Trowbridge aspires to both inform and inspire. She is known for her anatomically informed and soulfully inspired yoga classes that promise to be a little nerdy, but always fun, flowing (often a little sweaty) and accompanied by phenomenal playlists. Her style creates space for yogis to be challenged and to grow their practice, but also to find ease, confidence, laughter and yogi friends. And as an inversion and arm balance addict herself, you can always expect to spend some part of class with Mikki at least considering the idea of going upside down. Mikki has been teaching in Salem, Oregon for over 6 years with studio classes at Indigo Wellness Center and Yoga Studio, along with private classes at Oregon State Hospital and a variety of local gyms, businesses and organizations. She also hosts regular Yoga + Beer events at Oregon breweries and offers StandUp Paddle Board Yoga classes in Pacific City, Oregon during the summer months.

Honored to have spoken on behalf of the .family.ymca last night. A place where people know they matter. A space where all people belong.

We all deserve that. Because we all matter.
Each of us brings something to a space, place, or community just by being ourselves. And it’s powerful to experience those moments when we feel seen and valued for simply being us.

I know, because this community makes me feel like I matter every day. I want everyone to get to feel that way.

Thank you to the YMCA for asking me to speak and share my heart. And to all of you who have sent me kind notes today. I’m deeply grateful to be in this community with you.

Interested in beginning or building upon an inversion practice?! My annual inversion workshop is coming up on Sunday, March 22nd.

A workshop specifically designed for those wanting to begin or build upon an inversion practice, but needing guidance or inspiration. Exploring the foundations of handstand and forearm stand, we will look at practices for developing strength and confidence in our inversion practice at any level, while addressing how to work through fear, doubt and uncertainty in these shapes.

I recommend having a regular yoga practice, but absolutely no inversion experience is necessary to benefit from this workshop.

Resonance.
When something deeply connects or feels meaningful within us. ❤️ It’s the subtle exchange that happens when bodies, breath, and intention gather together. ❤️ It’s the amplification that happens when something is met by another at its natural frequency or vibration. ❤️ And it’s the way a sound continues to vibrate long after it is played.

And last night’s Yoga + Cello event will continue to vibrate for a long while.

Thanks to everyone who joined us last night - and made Resonance, resonant. These gatherings and community moments are the heart of our studio, and literally what inspired us in the naming of .

and - such an honor to create this experience with you. Thank you for sharing your gift and your music with us.

I am very much looking forward to collaborating with and Clair Dietz on this Yoga + Cello event at on Friday, February 20th.

Music was my meditation, before I even knew what meditation was. Combining the healing effects of movement, breath and music feels deeply meaningful to me when I host these live music events

Our all-levels practice will begin with a slow flow that resolves into restorative stillness, as Clair and Emily accompany our practice with live cello music. All are welcome, and I would love to have you join us.

$40 per yogi. $32 for Resonance Members.

My final hotel room practice of this trip around SE Asia. From the 20th floor over Bangkok, to rice fields outside of Chiang Mai, balconies with river views in Luang Prubang, to quiet nooks in Siem Reap, a boat on Halong Bay, and this window in Hanoi. I cherish my daily morning practice, wherever I’m at in the world.

Starting the day by holding space for myself - but not for myself. It’s so I can hold space for others. Whether that’s supporting my friends and family, leading a team for work, showing up for community, or holding space for 18 humans on a yoga retreat. Every day, I practice.

Our practice gives us the mental and emotional fortitude to show up with love - but. and. also with grit and fire. To clearly see injustice in the world, and to speak up and act up for what is right.

Looking forward to returning home to the US - and continuing this practice - because we have so much work to do. 🔥🧊

Moments together from our SE Asia Retreat in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. These adventures together always go way too fast - but we made the most of every moment.

These trips are a yoga and mindfulness practice beyond just the time we have together on our mats. A practice in anchoring into the moment and into our selves as we walk through new spaces and experiences. Mindfully and compassionately navigating the world outside of our comfort zones. And honoring the impermanence of all experiences by savoring the subtleties and the details.

It was an honor to practice together, on and off the mat, with this lovely group of humans. Thank you to each of you for what you added to this experience just by showing up as yourself. It was more meaningful because you were there with us 🙏🏼

All my gratitude to for continuing to partner with me to make these experiences a reality.

Next up: Egypt in October and India next February. Both are sold out …. But stay tuned this Spring for the opening of registration for our fall 2027 retreat in South Africa! 🌍

Angkor Wat. Finally got here. And it was everything I wanted it to be and more. All the highlights and details in my story.

We have just one more day together on this post-retreat extension in Cambodia, and then most of our group begins their journey home. What a privilege it is to see and experience the world - and what an even bigger privilege it has been to journey alongside this beautiful group of humans. Savoring every last moment together 🙏🏼

Welcome.

I’m an Oregon yoga and SUP yoga teacher and creator of Yoga + Beer pairings. And I’m really glad you’re here. Here’s a bit more about me and my teaching.

A little bit about me: She/Her. Married to an incredible partner and grateful to live in the beautiful state of Oregon. I'm an introvert and a deep feeler of everyone's feelings and energy - which for me translates to caring about creating spaces that aspire to be welcoming and inclusive. I'm always looking to challenge my understanding of myself, of yoga, and the world we live in and to grow my awareness of how my words and actions impact others. I'm Type A to the core (working on letting go sometimes), analytical and generally consider myself to be a bit of nerd. Piano player. Book worm. Backyard chicken mama. Seeker of international travel. Chaser of sunsets. Craft beer admirer. Hiker. Stand Up Paddleboarder. Proud owner of Shanti the Shiba. All-around lover of life.

I have been teaching since 2010 and primarily teach a flowing, vinyasa style. My classes are anatomically informed and soulfully inspired and reflect what I've found to be empowering from the time I've spent on my own mat in practice (you can read about my certifications on my website). I aspire to infuse my passion for the practice, my love of music and genuine, life-inspired musings into each class. As an analytical human, I enjoy an alignment-based approach to asana, but believe that the alignment of postures should be something that is learned from the inside out, not from written rules. I strive to invite freedom of exploration, observation, and inquiry into each class that I teach, so that over time you learn what your authentic alignment is, on your mat, and off. My style creates a space for yogis to be challenged and to grow their practice, but also to find ease, confidence, laughter, yogi friends and bliss.

Welcome. I look forward to getting to know you.
