With so much noise, misinformation, and heated conversation surrounding transgender lives right now, sometimes the most important thing we can do is get back to basics.

Today especially, grounding ourselves in understanding matters.

At the heart of it, this is about people. Respect. Identity. Dignity. Community.

Before assumptions, politics, or headlines, there’s value in making sure we understand the fundamentals of what terms mean, why pronouns matter, and how we can show up for one another with compassion.

According to the Human Rights Campaign, transgender is an umbrella term for people whose gender identity differs from the s*x they were assigned at birth, and understanding starts with education.

Education is not division.
Understanding is not harm.
And respect should never be controversial.

Whether you’re learning for yourself, your family, or your community, taking a moment to return to the basics can help create more informed, thoughtful conversations.

Because when the world gets loud, clarity matters.

We all have parts of ourselves that don’t always make sense. You might notice the part of you that overthinks, the part that shuts down, or the part that says yes to another school chaperone responsibility even when you’re already stretched thin. At some point, a lot of people find themselves wondering, “why am I like this?” and not really having a clear answer.

This post is simply an invitation to get a little more curious about those patterns instead of immediately trying to fix or judge them. For women, femmes, and all the she’s, they’s, and g**s who have spent time adapting to different expectations or environments, it makes sense that some of these parts feel hard to understand.

Posting this here since 60 minutes erased this from their official segment but I watched live, unfortunately. You can’t tell me it didn’t happen. To say a person has been “exonerated” they need to have been through a formal court process, and he has not. So that’s a lie as evidence continues to mount, so does distrust and violence.

You can’t try to gaslight America but honestly you should have just taken the evening off and shut your guilty mouth.

Prepare for a full warp of reality, if not already there…
