Discover Pericardium 6: Your Natural Remedy for Nausea and Anxiety!

Have you heard about Pericardium 6 (P6)? If you’ve seen those nausea wristbands at Walgreens or CVS, you’re already familiar with it! These bands have a magnet that targets this acupuncture point, providing relief from nausea, digestive issues, and anxiety.

Find P6 on Your Wrist:

1. Bend your wrist.

2. Place two fingers together below your wrist crease.

3. The point is on the opposite side of your fingers, at the midpoint between the two tendons.

4. Gently press and massage this area for 5 minutes

Embrace the Energizing Vibes of Spring with Traditional Chinese Medicine Dietary Tips!

As nature awakens and transitions into the vibrant season of spring, our bodies seek renewal and rejuvenation. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), adjusting our diet to align with the energy of the season can optimize health and vitality. Here are some dietary recommendations to thrive this spring:

1. **Embrace Fresh Greens:** Incorporate a variety of fresh greens such as spinach, kale, and bitter greens into your meals. These leafy vegetables help to cleanse and detoxify the liver, supporting the body’s natural detoxification process as we transition from the heavier foods of winter.

2. **Lighten Up with Sprouts and Young Greens:** Sprouts and young greens are bursting with vitality and represent the energy of spring. Add them to salads, stir-fries, or smoothies for a nutrient-packed boost that promotes growth and renewal.

3. **Sour Flavors for Liver Health:** Sour flavors, such as lemon, lime, vinegar, and fermented foods like sauerkraut, help to invigorate the liver and promote the smooth flow of qi (energy) throughout the body. Incorporate these flavors into your meals to support digestion and prevent stagnation.

4. **Stay Hydrated with Warm Liquids:** While the weather warms up, it’s essential to stay hydrated. Opt for warm liquids such as herbal teas, broths, and warm water with lemon to support digestion and nourish the body without taxing your digestive system.

5. **Balance with Moderation:** In TCM, moderation is key to maintaining balance. While it’s tempting to indulge in cold or raw foods as the weather gets warmer, balance them with warm, cooked foods to support digestion and prevent excess cold in the body.

By tuning into the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and aligning our diet with the energy of the season, we can nourish our bodies, support our health, and embrace the vibrant energy of spring!

This hydraulic massage table was one of the best investments I made for my patients because many people cannot lay flat for a treatment. The table can be lowered for ease of getting on the table and the top and bottom are adjustable as you can see my son here testing it out! Pregnant patients, disabled patients and those with dizziness and vertigo appreciate it the most!

Believe it or not, acupuncturists use the pulse as a part of our diagnosis. Different positions along the pulse give us information about the state of each acupuncture meridian. For example, after I have inserted the needles I check to make sure the pulse has evened out. If I still feel one of the pulses are out of balance, I will add another needle along that corresponding meridian and can immediately feel the difference. The pulse gives real time information that can make the difference between a good treatment and a great treatment!
