As long as you can see well, you don't really need a vision exam. ❌

This is a myth! There's a lot more to an eye exam than just checking your prescription. During a comprehensive vision exam, your eye doctor will check your overall eye health, which can sometimes show signs of other serious health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

Eye exams are an important part of taking care of your overall health, so make sure to Salem Vision Center annually!

Don't believe that wearing dark sunglasses will protect your eyes. UV blocking agents are what help to protect against the sun's harmful rays. Sunglasses and clear prescription lenses with UV blocking agents can both protect your eyes. While the dark shading in sunglasses helps reduce glare from the sun, choose lenses with proper UV protection to adequately protect your eyes.

Welcome to Salem Vision Center

Salem Vision Center began servicing the community in April 2000.

The practice began as general optometry where eye exams were performed and eyeglasses and contact lenses could be purchased.

Through the years, the office has grown to offer much more, such as, Diabetic Exams, Dry Eye Treatment, Orthokeratology, Disease and Injury Treatment, among other specialties.

Salem Vision Center is always seeking new technologies, trends, and medical advancements to provide the best service and care for all of our patients, current and future.
