As of yesterday the commander Shawn O'Neill has resigned. Hopefully now the paperwork will get done & submitted in a timely manner. This does not get the chapter out of suspension until the paperwork is submitted. When the chapter opens we need to hit the ground running to make up for its lack of any kind of leadership in the last 3 years.

Here is the 2nd news report Abbie Coleman from WSLS did on the DAV. This news report is about a state PAID DAV employee trying to do damage control. Notice though for 3 years he somehow looked the other way while the DAV chapter right under his nose was smoldering 🤔

OH & did I mention he leaves at the end of this year for a national DAV position. I guess when you don't do your job you get promoted ??? Is it just me or do you also see a problem here?

This group is about shining light on the DAV chapter 3 in Salem VA who's been on a 90 day suspension since September 28, 2023. This was all caused because the commander at the time Shawn O'Neill had not turned in the required financial reports since he took over as commander 3 years ago. 3 L O N G years of state & national looking the other way while this train wreck was taking place. Members have written him up & he should have been article 16, dereliction of duties. Why wasn't this done? Why has state & national let it go on so long? Why are they STILL doing nothing to get this chapter up & running? This chapter is almost 100 years old.
