You’ve turned the TV up a few clicks. Then a few more. But everyone else in the room says it’s already loud.
Here’s what most people don’t realize: when clarity starts to fade, the brain asks for more volume — even though volume isn’t what’s actually missing. It’s not about getting older, and it doesn’t mean something is “wrong.” It just means your ears may be working harder than they used to, and the harder they work, the more draining everyday listening can feel.
If you’ve caught yourself saying, “Can you repeat that?” or “I heard you, I just didn’t catch it,” it might not be the TV. It might just be time for a simple check. No pressure, no commitment — just answers. Because staying connected shouldn’t require cranking the volume.
