Weekend Mocktail!!! 🍹🌞🕶️🌻✨. Mango Sunshine Slushy
Recipe for a spring refresher for ages 1-100! SHARE WITH FRIENDS!!!
🥭 Instructions
1 cup cubed peeled ripe mango
1 small orange clementine (peeled & sliced)
1 banana sliced
1 teaspoon local honey
5 ice cubes
1/2 cup organic orange juice
🍯 For an extra creamy option ~ substitute orange juice with 1/3 cup yogurt or milk
🍌 Simply combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend for 2 minutes until smooth. Enjoy!

If you’re close enough, visit a beach!

Most people enjoy the sights, tranquil sounds, and relaxing feeling a trip to the ocean generously offers. The sea air, temperature, wind, and sunshine are counted among the many beneficial elements you’ll encounter on a trip to a New England beach.

THE SUN . . . Vitamin D, in known for its immune boosting properties, ability to help the body absorb calcium (a building block for strong bones), and helps muscles and brain cells function well! Sunshine also has the ability to regulate mood by increasing serotonin! Please enjoy in moderation.

THE WATER . . . Swimming in the ocean is a full-body workout, improving cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, and flexibility. The saltwater can also soothe the skin and act as a natural exfoliant. Swimming in the ocean in the Northeast this time of year is basically a cold water immersion. You may have heard of the currently popular “ice bath” or “cold plunge”! This is more than a passing fad. The truth is getting into cold water can reduce muscle soreness and inflammation by constricting blood vessels and decreasing metabolic activity. This can lead to faster recovery after exercise, increase energy levels, and potentially strengthened immune system.

THE WIND . . . Even the wind can help! Feeling a cool wind on your face can promote blood circulation, and reduce inflammation.

What is Metabolic Detoxification?

Metabolic detoxification refers to our body’s ability to package up harmful substances in our biological system and eliminate them. Examples of toxicants that we may be exposed to from the environment include pesticides, herbicides, food additives, plastics, heavy metals, and cigarette smoke. I also feel that the Standard American Diet which often has high sugar, high calorie foods that are nutrient poor also contributes to the total toxic burden.
