✨ Trail update! ✨

The Forever Trail got some love today. After all the rain this spring and summer, we wanted to see how it held up. Some of you may have flashbacks just hearing “Forever Trail” 😅—but we think it’s a gem that deserves a little care every now and then (don’t worry, we aren't making Hellgate easier 😉).

Backcountry trails like this don’t see as many feet on the ground, so from June–September things can get pretty overgrown. Today we cleared 3.3 miles from the Day Creek Trailhead—trimmed back the brush and cut out all but one tree (it was just too big for the handsaw).

Hey Mountain Ju**ies! We hope everyone has been having a great summer! Can you even believe we are already thinking about October?!?! The 19th Into the Darkness Night Trail Run is Saturday, October 25th, 7pm at Explore Park. Because of the work on improvements to Explore Park, we will have a brand new course and new headquarters! Chestnut Ridge Loop Trail got a little more love today. Ron Butler and I took out a hung up tree and worked on the tree that took out some of the trail near the switchbacks (we'd been scratching our heads for the last few months about how to handle it). Lots of sweat was dropped but we feel like we did a pretty good job.
