I’ve officially reached the 10 year mark of consistent exercise. Back then I told myself I’d be the best fitness coach I could possibly be. I would master as many areas of fitness as I could, and I would lead by example. I have always believed that if I’m going to be the coach, I will have done it first. I don’t believe you can truly understand what it takes to achieve anything if you haven’t done it, and I sure as hell will never be a hypocrite when it comes to telling someone what to do. Here are some hallmark achievements that I’ve had over the years. In order of achievement:
1. First 1000lb total
2. 65inch box jump
3. Balance Mastery
4. First 405lb Bench
5. First 500lb Squat
6. Parallet bar handstand jump
7. First person to record and achieve the “Textbook Ton” Challenge
8. Human Weighted Back Lever (blessed to have done this with my love .sims_xo )
9. 650lb Deadlift
10. 315lb Strict Shoulder Press
I’ve dedicated myself to calisthenics, plyometrics, powerlifting, bodybuilding, cross training, and rehab. I’ve done all the book work, read thousands of papers, and applied the data firsthand. None of these tasks were easy and all of them were full of countless failures, injuries, and setbacks. Each of these has deepened my knowledge and given me the insight to be a better coach.
To all my clients, friends, and loved ones that have trusted me with their goals. Thank you. It’s been the best 10 years and just know if you’re with me, I’m pushing forward with you.
