If you have money set aside in a Flexible Savings Account (FSA) as part of your health insurance coverage, you can use it towards a new pair of glasses (or prescription sunglasses!) before the end of the year. Some insurance plans call it a Health Savings Account (HSA). Either way, if you have money in your account it will only last through the end of the year. That’s why you should use it now or lose it all! Some insurance plans allow you to carry the amount into the next year for a couple of months, but you still have to use it (or lose it).
