So excited about sharing my new book with you! Here's a road map of what it contains. I partnered with AI for visuals and am not one bit disappointed. The ideas are mine - the words are mine - the layout is AI. The book is a way to share my experience in true communication and change. Love to have you order it when it's live on Amazon - probably May, just in time for Mother's Day!

A death of a dear friend conjures up many thoughts in us. Recently, my dear neighbor and friend, Brenda L. Ellison passed away. She had ten children and zillions of offspring from them. But the thing I want to mention that endeared her to me was our total lack of pretense with one another. We would meet in the street (she lived across from me) with our bathrobes on and curlers in our hair just to say I love you and she always got the last word..."I love you more." As we lived as neighbors in life, so, too, shall we live in perpetuity as neighbors in the Veteran's cemetery in Portland. May you rest in peace, my sweet friend. I think of you every day! Listen to the waves. Close your eyes. We are all one.

I have over 5,000 books. They are not neatly relegated to one room such as a library in my home. They are haphazardly located throughout my home, my classroom, and my office. Woe is me! I am stressed and anxious by the sheer randomess of these amazing and beloved books. Some may call it clutter. Some may go so far as calling this hoarding.
What I do know is that I must rid myself of some of them.
I must organize them.
I must share them.
When I picture that completed I feel less aniety and stress.

Our mind is also like this. So many things bombarding us. Stop. Gather your thoughts. Figure out how to eliminate some of the negative baggage. Even some of the other thoughts we allow to control us need to be bagged and shipped away or stored somewhere safe for a later inspection.

But where to begin? Sigh. First I will sort out the children's books I no longer need. A plan is beginning to materialize. We can do this. But not in a weekend. Step by step. Minute by minute, we can be in charge of this reclaiming our space, be it physical or mental.

Let me know how you are doing! Peace,
Lola

Distraction isn't avoidance - it's a temporary means of taking care of yourself away from an intense situation, so that you can eventually step back into it with fresh eyes and a clear mind.
