Ok, who here needs a vacation. Not even so much of a physical location, but some time and space away from chaos and uncertainty? Some time to even get your mind and body ready to make a much-needed reset? I know I do. So let's quickly go over some of the easiest ways to accomplish this without needing too much time or money to make it happen.
1.Take a walk or get out in nature: It's important to note that you don't have to go on an extended hike or drive to a lake or waterfall (although one can always dream). Just get outside of your house or place of work and take a very slow walk focusing on breathing and being mindful. In this case being mindful simply means clearing your mind from the day to day and shifting your mind to focus on the sights right before you, the smells, the feels. If you can find a stretch of grass and get your shoes off even better. Just standing on the Earth without your shoes can help your magnetic field balance out.
2.Take a bath or shower: I know I know, a bath and a shower are sometimes unattainable with our daily life in full swing, but getting into the water can be very healing. Even if it's just 20 minutes, it will help you reset your mind and body in a way that many things can't. Add some music where you can focus on the feel of the water while listening to something pleasant can be just the thing you need.
3.Mindful eating or drinking: Do you like coffee or tea, is chocolate a fan favorite? well pull everything together and then be prepared to just take it in, all of it, very slowly. See the steam rising from the cup, put the chocolate to your nose and smell it. Let your hands wrap around your mug or cup and take note of the heat. When you begin to drink or eat take a small sip or bite and let it fill your mouth. Become completely absorbed in the ritual of what you have chosen to ingest. Notice the feel as it goes all the way down into your stomach. Take a deep breath and repeat.
No matter which one you pick remember to practice gratitude every time you can. When you have given yourself your mini getaway, let the Universe know how lucky you feel to have gotten the time and that you can't wait to create the space to do it all over again. And then make it a habit. Try each one or a combination to see which things might work for you. Unwind,
Enjoy!
