Penny Weston served a big meal at dinner today, so she went with something simple at Skyline Suites this evening. We’re pretty sure they enjoyed it. You could've heard a pin drop after they were served 💙

“Skyline Suites Retirement and Assisted Living Facility in Salem was a blessing from God to our family during a very difficult time. Our mother was no longer safe to remain in her own home alone. We knew we needed to either bring care into her home or find a facility that would ensure her safety. After touring several facilities, our mom chose to come to Skyline Suites. She liked the available suite that allowed her to bring many of her favorite things from home, which included the bedroom suit that she shared with our dad since they married over 68 years ago, which was very important to her.
The staff helped make the very painful transition out of a home that Mom had been in for over 50 years less tragic. They worked very hard to do things in her suite as she asked and did it in a very timely manner. She always complemented the meals that were prepared for her and looked forward to dining with other residents. She appreciated their assistance in completing everyday tasks that became a struggle for her at home.
As a child of a parent that really did not want to leave her home, I wanted to stay engaged to ensure Mom was kept safe and as happy as she could be away from her home. I appreciated the staff because they would send me random texts sharing with me what kind of day my mom was having. They were always welcoming when I would just drop in for visits. Ryan and his staff were great to the family in making some end-of-life decisions for care for our mom. They went above and beyond what we expected from an assisted living facility. The staff were not just employees they became wonderful blessings in our lives.”

Skyline Suites would like to thank the SHS guitar club for visiting us today and playing music for our residents. Very talented students! We hope that they will visit us again!

Some of our residents have special talents that they like to share. Miss Janet has a group of friends that gather occasionally to spin and knit while enjoying each others company. They are very interesting to watch!

Gingerbread houses(graham crackers) were fun today, but I think it’s safe to say that not all of us would be good at architecture! The best part was eating them!

Faith Baptist entertained our residents with holiday cheer today! The residents always enjoy the music and children and look forward to their next visit ❤️

We had a couple amazing groups swing by to sing for our residents and get everyone into the holiday spirit. Thank you To Tri Kappa & Salem Community Church for taking the time to visit us this holiday season!
