After much reflection, prayer, and planning, I’m excited (and a little emotional) to share that I’m officially moving to Missouri! This new chapter brings a lot of change — including relocating my doula practice.

To my incredible clients and families here in Union County, Arkansas: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Supporting you through some of life’s most sacred moments has been a true honor. You’ve filled my heart and reminded me why I chose this calling.

To my new community in Salem, Missouri: I’m so excited to start connecting and offering doula care rooted in compassion, presence, and empowerment. Whether you're expecting, postpartum, or just want to connect, I’d love to meet you. 💛

FMCSA with DOT requires certain drug and alcohol tests.
We provide DOT (and some Non-DOT) drug and alcohol testing.

CDL drivers are subject to each of the following types of tests:
Pre-Employment
Random
Post Accident
Reasonable Suspicion
Return-to-Duty
Follow-up

If your consortium or business would like to use us as a collection site for your testing, we are available for that as well and would love to provide a local service for you.

We are DOT Collector and BAT certified and able to provide DOT drug collections, DOT Breath alcohol screenings, and DOT Breath Alcohol Confirmation testing.

Although we are not "officially" in summer yet, summer has begun for many. Throughout summer, we will post a little about our business, some fun facts, services we offer, and some information and facts about those services with: "Straight to the point: Here's the Scoop!" (By the way, what is your favorite kind of ice cream?)

Ok, lets start with the 1st topic: DOT physicals and why they are performed.

A DOT physical is a medical exam required for commercial vehicle drivers to ensure they are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to operate a commercial motor vehicle safely. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) mandates this exam to protect public safety.

Things that are required for a DOT Physical:

A medical history and answering questions about your medical history. Going over your medications and why you take them, going over surgery history, etc.

Blood pressure, Weight, Vision check, Hearing check, reflexes, strength, listening to the heart and lungs, among others.

One common question and complaint we get often, is the Urinalysis. You ARE required to do a urinalysis on each new exam. This is NOT a drug test (a drug test may/can be done as well, but not included in the exam). The urinalysis tests for sugar, Protein, Blood, and Specific Gravity. These are things used to check for certain health conditions and is a vital part to the exam. Some companies require you to do both, the DOT Physical (that includes the urinalysis) and a Drug Test (sometimes also called "NDOT or DOT Urine Collection" or "NDOT or DOT Urine" on certain forms).

As of Friday, Missouri has started using the integration rule where DOT Medical Cards are submitted electronically through the National Registry to the State Driver's Licensing Agencies (SDLA). That means drivers no longer have to take a copy of their medical cards to the license office to be placed on their license.

We are being told it may take 3 or more business days for the results to be entered onto their license and to urge those that have a Medical Card expiration date coming up, to have it renewed ahead of time to prevent a gap in the certification.

As of now, CDL/CLP Drivers will still get a paper copy of the medical card and still must keep it with them when they drive.

Beginning June 23, 2025, CDL/CLP Driver's will no longer have to carry a copy of their medical card and no longer get a paper copy unless they ask for it (The paper medical Card (MCSA-5876) will no longer be considered official proof of medical certification after June 23rd. ) Non-CDL holders that need a DOT physical will still get a paper Med card and still must carry it with them.
