As Month ends and LGBTQIA+ Pride begins, remember that our struggles are connected. We face many of the same challenges: discrimination, access to housing, poverty, and stigma among them.

Take care of yourself. Take a breath. Then join us in making tomorrow better.

Do you know how to respond to a family member, coworker, or loved one facing a mental health challenge? This Month, consider signing up for a Mental Health First Aid training. This 6½-hour course will prepare you to help someone experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, or psychosis stay safe until they can get treatment—just as you'd bandage a wound until you can get someone to a hospital.

The Arc Oregon is offering our next training on July 16 & 17. Sign up here if you're interested: https://thearcoregon.org/event/mental-health-first-aid-adult-2/

Congress is making big decisions right now about our nation’s priorities. They are voting on policies that will take away funding from Medicaid healths and SNAP benefits—services that people with disabilities rely on to live healthy lives.

Act now: https://action.thearc.org/hMKcUkd

We need Congress to support Medicaid & SNAP for people with disabilities and their families! []

About OSNT

The Oregon Special Needs Trust (OSNT) offers a safe and secure way for families to plan for the future without jeopardizing important public benefits such as Medicaid and Social Security Income that the beneficiary relies on.

Since being established in 1999, the OSNT has grown to over 700 accounts and more than $20 million in assets.

Our knowledge and experience allow us to help families evaluate all available options and choose the right path toward the future financial security of their loved ones who experience a disability.

The OSNT is available to any Oregonian with a disability as a way to enhance quality of life while safeguarding eligibility for essential benefits. The OSNT staff is available to help you plan ahead to ensure your loved one is well provided for in the future.
