I heard some advice not too long ago that REALLY resonated with me.
First, let me set the stage:
It’s easy to get nervous, anxious, or scared to do things from time to time, right?
I know I do. 🙋
It’s also easy to let those nerves or that anxiety or fear stop you from acting.
But the advice was simple: Do it scared.
The more you exhale the fear, breathe through it, do it anyway… the less scary things become.
Your body intuitively starts to realize that anytime you push yourself through a situation you were scared to tackle, you come out all right. And courage begins to replace fear.
