We’re excited to introduce Sara, our dedicated Account Executive on the Seva Hospice Marketing Team. 💜

Sara was born and raised in the Central Valley, where she spent her childhood on a dairy farm, playing, exploring, and rescuing every animal she could find. 🐄🐾

Today, she and her husband are raising two wonderful daughters who keep them busy with sports. When she isn’t cheering them on, Sara can often be found coaching, watching, or playing ball herself.

Her passion for geriatrics began unexpectedly after an injury sidelined her from sports. At her grandmother’s encouragement, she started volunteering at a nursing home. From the very first day, she was inspired by the stories, gratitude, humor, and love she encountered, a connection that has guided her career ever since. ✨

What Sara values most about hospice care is its focus on the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. She believes hospice is about dignity, comfort, and presence during one of life’s most important moments.

For families, it often brings great comfort to know their loved one is not only being treated but also truly seen, understood, and supported. ✨💜

The Philosophy of Seva

The word "Seva" is a Sanskrit word meaning service. However, it is more than just a simple desire to help others, "Seva” is actually composed of two words, “saha,” which means “with that,” and “eva,” which means “too.” Taken as a whole, the word “seva” means “together with” and describes the actions that seek collective uplifting through understanding the needs of others and are based on togetherness and integration. It is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to help those around you.

Our mission statement and corporate philosophy is derived from this concept of Seva.
