Earlier this week, our Seva Hospice team, Dave, Executive Director, and Chris, Volunteer and Bereavement Coordinator, joined a beautiful Veterans Ceremony at Truewood by Merrill, Modesto to recognize and thank the brave men who served our country.

Chris and his son shared a powerful moment together by singing “God Bless America,” filling the room with emotion and gratitude as we honored those who have given so much for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸

Today, Seva Hospice Chaplain Chuck Adams was honored to be a guest speaker at The Stratford at Beyer Park, where we came together to celebrate both the residents and 12 brave veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication.

It was a beautiful morning of gratitude, fellowship, and remembrance filled with patriotic cupcakes, sparkling refreshments, and heartfelt recognition for each veteran’s service and sacrifice.

From all of us at Seva Hospice, thank you to every veteran for your selfless service and the freedoms you’ve helped protect. 💜

The Philosophy of Seva

The word "Seva" is a Sanskrit word meaning service. However, it is more than just a simple desire to help others, "Seva” is actually composed of two words, “saha,” which means “with that,” and “eva,” which means “too.” Taken as a whole, the word “seva” means “together with” and describes the actions that seek collective uplifting through understanding the needs of others and are based on togetherness and integration. It is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to help those around you.
