Salina Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic physicians Matthew Pyle and Kevin Klug provided training to second year medical students who were taking part in the Summer Training Option in Rural Medicine Orientation held at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Salina Campus on Friday. The event was geared towards preparing students for some of the clinical experiences they’ll encounter while following rural physicians across the state this summer. Salina Regional Health Center and the Salina Regional Health Foundation played an instrumental role in establishing the Salina Campus for the KU Schools of Medicine and Nursing. The mission of the programs is to train doctors and nurses in a rural setting with the hope that once their training is complete, they’ll choose to continue their careers in rural Kansas. That mission is being fulfilled, and touching the lives of countless people across the state year after year.

Salina Regional Sport Medicine Athletic Trainers are at the ballgame! ⚾️

Salina Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine athletic trainers Robert Harp, Nicole Balderston, Evan Bowers, and Kelsey Wilson are providing care to athletes at the 4A Kansas State High School Activities Association baseball and softball tournament. At the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) state events, our athletic trainers help with injury prevention, physical reconditioning, physical evaluation, and emergency care. Our Athletic Trainers work alongside Sports Medicine Physicians, Dr. Matthew Pyle, Dr. Kevin Klug and Orthopedic Surgeons Dr. Travis Rump and Dr. Todd Reilly. Salina Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine will help you get back in the game and keep you in the game! 🥎
