🪥 Proper brushing technique can make a big difference in how much plaque is removed when you brush.
Here are a few tips for better brushing: 👇
Don't skip. Brush twice a day for 2 min. each.
Consider an electric toothbrush, as it removes plaque more efficiently
Hold the brush at a 45-degree angle toward the gum line, not flat against the teeth.

☂️ Since April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to share some signs and symptoms to watch for so you can catch oral cancer in the early stages.
5️⃣ Signs of Oral Cancer: 👇
- Ulcers or sores in the mouth that do not heal after a couple of weeks
- Red or white patches (sometimes red and white together)
- Lumps or thickening in the mouth or cheeks
- Difficulty chewing or swallowing
- Dentures that no longer fit

🔎 Additionally, at every dental cleaning and exam, we check for signs of oral cancer in the patient as a preventative measure.

🦷 Periodontal disease causes the gums to recede from the teeth. When gums pull away far enough, it can cause tooth sensitivity, oral complications, and change the appearance of your smile.

Meet Dr. Moeller

I attended Dental School at the University of Missouri Kansas City. After dental school, I attended the University of Louisville, here I completed a 3 year Masters residency in Periodontics. I was in Private Practice for 1 year in Cincinnati, OH after my residency, where I accomplished my Board Certification. I opened Great Plains Periodontics and Implant Dentistry August 9th, 2010. I married my beautiful and lovely wife, Kim in 2007. We moved to Salina to open this practice. We love living in Salina and feel like it is a wonderful place to raise our family. We currently have 4 kids, Huck 6, Crosby 4, Georgia 3 and Archer 1.

As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. I also recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my team. That is just one reason why I value each and every patient relationship.
