Did you know that 1 in 4 students struggle to afford period products? That’s why Salina Women's Clinic has partnered with The Period Project, an initiative of Altrusa International of Salina. Together, they are collecting menstrual hygiene products to help combat period poverty in local schools and communities. Community members can support the effort by dropping off feminine hygiene products at Salina Women’s Clinic.

In this episode of The PULSE, Brandie McQueen, senior physician recruiter at Salina Regional Health Center and a member of Altrusa International, joins Emily Budden, MD, OB/GYN with Salina Women’s Clinic, to discuss The Period Project and how it is making a difference for families facing financial hardship in our community.

Did you know 1 in 4 students struggles to afford period products? No student should have to miss school or go without basic necessities because of their period. Together, we can make a difference.

Items needed:

Menstrual pads
Tampons
Feminine hygiene wipes
New women’s underwear and leggings

✨ Opened boxes of pads and tampons are welcome, as long as they are individually wrapped.

Every donation helps provide dignity, confidence, and support to those who need it most. Thank you for helping us create a healthier, more equitable community—one period at a time.
