❤️ Heart Month in Action!

To raise awareness during Heart Month, our Chest Pain and Heart Failure team — including cardiologist Dr. David Battin and Olivia Weir, APRN — shared important information about Early Heart Attack Care and demonstrated hands-only CPR at the Coffee Corner in the main hospital lobby. Participants even had the opportunity to practice chest compressions.

Salina Regional Health Center is offering the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal Course for healthcare professionals and community members starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 23.
Participants will learn:
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants
