Residents and our Life Enrichment crew had an absolute nutty good time in Wichita with a stop at the Nifty Nuthouse and lunch at Spears Family Restaurant!
From sweet treats to even sweeter company, this group was a total blast. And let’s just say… Dave Parker really found his true calling 🐿️
We always knew Dave was a little nuts, but now it’s confirmed—he’s officially our top squirrel! Busy gathering snacks, rolling through the day, and keeping everyone laughing… talk about someone who doesn’t squirrel around when it comes to fun.
Proof that the “nut doesn’t fall far from the squirrel” around here 😉
Great memories, full bellies, and a day that was simply unbeleafable!

Volunteers like Mary Ann Lay are the heart—and the driving force—behind what makes our community so special. 💛
With her go-getter attitude and selfless spirit, Mary Ann is helping lead the charge in gathering donations from our residents for the Salina Project. Because of her initiative, these simple acts of giving are reaching far beyond our walls—making a meaningful difference across the entire Salina community.
She doesn’t just lend a hand… she steps up, takes action, and inspires others to do the same, just ask Nancy Thompson.

April is National Volunteer Month, and while we love having a time to celebrate, the truth is—we are grateful for our volunteers each and every day.
It’s a beautiful reminder that one person’s generosity can create a ripple effect of kindness, connection, and care for so many.
We are incredibly thankful for volunteers like Mary Ann who show up, give back, and make our community—and Salina as a whole—a better place.

When people compare costs for aging at home versus senior living, they often focus only on housing. But the full picture includes much more.

Home repairs, lawn care, rising utility costs, transportation, and in-home support add up quickly. Many senior living communities bundle housing, dining services, maintenance, transportation, and enrichment into one predictable monthly fee.

Well folks, that’s a wrap on the 2026 Salina Presbyterian Manor Art is Ageless Art competition and exhibit.

We wrapped up last Friday with a great reception celebrating our artists. We had over 70 artists from Salina and surrounding communities, with more than 100 entries on display.

A big thank you to the Salina Art Center for hosting us. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Artists… time to get back to work. We’ll see you in 2027.

Age is the strongest known risk factor for dementia. While dementia is not a normal part of aging, the likelihood increases over time.

This is why regular medical conversations and awareness are so important.

Planning ahead often provides families with greater peace and more choices. PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®) communities are designed to support residents at every stage of life’s journey.

Sue Vince truly is an all-star ⭐
For years, Sue has been a friendly face at the front desk, welcoming everyone with warmth and kindness. And today, she continues to share her time and talents by helping organize music for the Manor Chorale—keeping the joy of music alive in our community.
Volunteers like Sue don’t just give their time… they create connection, purpose, and belonging. Her dedication brings smiles, sparks memories, and helps our residents stay engaged in the moments that matter most.
April may be Volunteer Appreciation Month, but the truth is—we don’t just appreciate Sue one month out of the year… we appreciate her each and every day 💙 And Dave really appreciates you Sue!
We are so grateful for you, Sue. Thank you for making Salina Presbyterian Manor a brighter place.

Making memories 🌸💕
There’s something so special about slowing down and creating together. Today, our lovely ladies spent time crafting spring wreaths—hands busy, hearts full, and smiles everywhere you looked.
Moments like these matter more than words can say. Creating with their hands helps spark memories, encourages conversation, and brings a sense of purpose and accomplishment. The colors, textures, and familiar motions can awaken joy, reduce stress, and create meaningful connections—not just with each other, but within themselves.
And just like these beautiful blooms, each resident brings their own unique beauty, story, and vibrancy to our community. 🌼

Early changes often appear gradually. Families may notice repeated questions, new difficulty with problem-solving, or subtle personality shifts.

Trust your instincts. Small changes can provide important insight.

Seeking guidance early allows families to explore support options together — thoughtfully and without urgency.

If you would ever like a confidential conversation, we’re here to help.

We had such a great evening hosting First Friday at the Art Center and celebrating the incredible artists featured in our Art is Ageless exhibit. It was so fun seeing so many people come through and enjoy the artwork.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, to the Art Center for the beautiful space and collaboration, and to our amazing artists, volunteers, and staff who made the night such a success. We’re so grateful to be part of a community that shows up and supports local talent so well.
