This week at Reflections, our Honey Bees women’s group enjoyed a wonderful outing to the mall! The ladies had so much fun browsing the stores, and of course… stopping for ice cream. 🍦

The men’s group gathered for a little friendly competition on the indoor putting green. ⛳ There were some impressive putts!

Love was definitely in the air this Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Our Men’s Group kicked off the celebration with their very own Valentine party. The Women’s “Honey Bees” Group got creative decorating beautiful (and delicious!) Valentine cookies.
Our entire community came together for a special Valentine Dinner Party featuring yummy appetizers, a delicious entrée, and a festive dessert that made the night extra sweet.
We capped off the evening with wonderful live music by Sarah and Tim Crews, making it a truly memorable celebration.
Moments like these remind us that Reflections is more than a community — it’s family. ❤️

The Honey Bees women’s group had a wonderful time with arts & crafts! 🐝✨ Our first project was making ornaments by dipping them in water and nail polish so fun and colorful! Then we created beautiful cards using shaving cream and food coloring… who knew it could be that amazing?! 💛 Such a great time!

This young lady recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a special celebration hosted by her family. Many family members, along with her friends at Reflections, were in attendance to celebrate this wonderful milestone with Sonja!

At Reflections, resident care is our primary focus each and every day. We strive to provide not only support for daily needs, but also to positively contribute to our residents’ quality of life and overall happiness.

None of this would be possible without our exceptional staff. They are the heart of what we do from caregiving and dining services to housekeeping, office support, and everything in between. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work truly make Reflections feel like home.

We were grateful for the opportunity to show our appreciation in a couple of special ways this holiday season. Just before Christmas, we hosted a staff luncheon featuring “choose-your-favorite” Balanced Nutrition drinks, Jimmy John’s sandwiches, and snacks on a beautiful day warm enough to enjoy eating outside.

Most recently, we celebrated with our “After-Christmas” staff party, featuring Daimaru Steakhouse & Sushi Bar cooking on site for our team. It was a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and well-deserved celebration.

A heartfelt thank-you to our entire staff for all that you do for our residents and for one another. We are also so thankful for our high school, college, and nursing students who joined us over break you have been such a blessing to our community, and you will be greatly missed! We wish you the best in your upcoming semester!

This past week, our Men’s and Women’s Groups were pleased to welcome guest speaker Dalton Wassenberg from the Chiropractic Wellness Center here in Salina.

Dalton shared helpful insights on overall wellness, managing pain, and how chiropractic services can play a supportive role in improving daily comfort and mobility. During his presentation, he highlighted key wellness terms that residents could also find on the Chiro Edition Bingo cards he provided making the session both educational and fun.

The interactive format, along with time for questions and discussion, made for an engaging and enjoyable experience for everyone who attended.

We sincerely appreciate Dalton taking the time to visit Reflections and share his knowledge with our community.

A Blessed Christmas Season at Reflections Retirement Resort
We have truly been blessed with a beautiful Christmas season at Reflections one filled with joy, fellowship, and the warmth that comes from sharing special moments together. Thanks to the many wonderful group performances and the dedication of our staff, the season was rich with meaningful gatherings and cherished holiday traditions.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without our annual bus outing to view the Christmas lights. Residents enjoyed a cozy evening taking in the festive sights, including a special stop at Olivia’s Park, complete with hot cider and cookies that made the night even sweeter.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Kim, Emily, and Celeste for planning our festive pajama party what a delightful evening of laughter, fun, and togetherness! These thoughtful touches are what make the Reflections family so special.
We are also incredibly grateful to the talented groups who took time out of their busy schedules to share their gifts with us this season, including:
• Bell Choir
• Tamra Howe Dancers
• Coronado Choir
• South High New Dawn Singers
• Sacred Heart Choir (middle and high school groups)
• Salina Middle School Guitar and Choir Group
• Our very own Glenn and Paula, who shared beautiful music on guitar and violin
• And the many caroling and church groups who filled our dining room and halls with Christmas cheer
From music and lights to laughter and fellowship, this season was a beautiful reminder of how truly blessed we are. Thank you to everyone staff, performers, and friends who helped make Christmas at Reflections so meaningful. 💖
