Honey Bees” at Reflections
The “Honey Bees” ladies group at Reflections recently gathered for a fun and flavorful lunch pizza party—an afternoon filled with good food and even better company.
The ladies enjoyed take-and-bake pizzas from Papa Murphy’s, served hot and fresh for lunch. For dessert, Kim wowed the group with a beautifully made fruit pizza that added a sweet and colorful touch to the meal. While the food was certainly enjoyed, it was the meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and growing friendships that truly made the afternoon memorable.
Each gathering of the “Honey Bees” continues to strengthen the sense of connection and community among these amazing women. The support and joy they bring to one another is what makes this group so special—and absolutely priceless.

Reflections Takes the Leap: Nicole and Celeste Go Skydiving

Two of our very own Reflections team members took their sense of adventure to new heights—literally—on a recent Saturday morning. Nicole and Celeste embarked on an unforgettable experience as they went skydiving for the first time.
With nerves of steel and plenty of excitement, they embraced every thrilling moment. Both said the experience was exhilarating and unlike anything they’d ever done before. When asked if they would do it again, both said yes without hesitation.
Their daring jump is a testament to the spirit of exploration and boldness that reflects who they are—not just as teammates, but as individuals always ready to take on new challenges.
Way to go, Nicole and Celeste!

The Vet to Vet Café Brings Connection and Gratitude to Salina Veterans 🇺🇸
The Vet to Vet Café is a monthly breakfast gathering at the VFW held in partnership with Gentiva Hospice, bringing local veterans together for connection, camaraderie, and appreciation ☕🫶.
Reflections had the privilege of sponsoring the food and serving at the July event! 🍳🥓 We brought a delicious spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, and cinnamon rolls — all prepared by Gourmet Eats 🧑‍🍳. The cinnamon rolls were especially a big hit! 😋
This is a wonderful monthly event that honors those who have served, and we are proud to be a part of it 💙🎖️.

Our Reflections Men’s Group had the privilege of welcoming guest speaker Marc Gallagher 👨‍🌾, a retired representative from Great Plains 🌾. The men had the opportunity to learn about farming equipment 🚜 and ask questions ❓. Thank you, Marc, for joining us — we truly enjoyed your visit! 😊

Reflections Resident Council Launches Employee of the Month Recognition Program
At Reflections, we are proud to announce a new initiative led by our dedicated Resident Council: the Employee of the Month Recognition Program. This program is a heartfelt way for our residents to acknowledge and celebrate staff members who go above and beyond in providing compassionate care and support.
Each month, residents submit ballots to vote for the employee who has made a meaningful impact on their lives. The staff member who receives the most votes is recognized by the Resident Council, awarded a gift card, and honored with a certificate that is proudly displayed for the month.
We are excited to share our first three honorees:
• April: Congratulations to Lisa, whose warm personality and attentive care earned her the inaugural Employee of the Month award.
• May: Hats off to Celeste, whose dedication and uplifting spirit made her stand out among the team.
• June: A big round of applause for Jenna, whose kindness and reliability have not gone unnoticed by our residents.
This program not only highlights the incredible work of our staff but also empowers our residents to express their gratitude and appreciation in a meaningful way.

Reflections Men's Group Enjoys Informative Gathering with Guest Speaker
The Reflections Men's Group, led by Kim, continues to enjoy their regular get-togethers, sharing thoughtful discussions and meaningful fellowship. Each week brings a new topic and fresh perspectives, keeping the group engaged and connected.
This past week, the group welcomed guest speaker Brian Richardson, who gave an engaging presentation on the evolution of baseball equipment over the years. With a lifelong passion for the sport, Brian brought a collection of props to illustrate the improvements and changes in baseball gear—from gloves to protective wear—offering both historical context and personal anecdotes that resonated with the group.
The men thoroughly enjoyed the informative session and conversation that followed. The gathering wrapped up with a refreshing treat of watermelon, leaving everyone with full minds and full stomachs.
The Reflections Men's Group looks forward to more enriching gatherings and shared experiences in the weeks to come. ⚾️
