I have been working on a new mantle for our fireplace and have been searching for the right piece of rustic wood to accent the room. After visiting Heritage Salvage in Petaluma I spoke with Chris who offered a very nice piece that was rescued from the Skunk Fire. I trimmed the piece down and it shows the charred edge. I really like the way it came out. Working with wood is such great therapy.
