Meet Dr. Mary-Kathryn Brazil, the heart behind Brazil Family Chiropractic Inc.

A proud Salinas native and former collegiate volleyball player, Dr. Brazil’s journey to become chiropractor began after a career-ending back injury. What started as a setback became her purpose—helping others heal, move better, and stay injury-free.

With a degree in Kinesiology from CSU Stanislaus and a Doctorate from Palmer West Chiropractic College, Dr. Brazil began her career working with athletes to optimize performance and prevent injuries.

Everything changed when she became a mother. Her passion shifted to prenatal and pediatric care, and she’s since earned certifications in the Webster Technique and advanced training in pediatric chiropractic. From supporting mothers through pregnancy to helping toddlers hit their milestones and beyond—Dr. Brazil is here for your whole family.

We are thrilled to present Dr. Elizabeth Sanchez Nuñez

Originally from Mexico City, Dr. Sanchez moved to the U.S. at the age of 16 and brings with her a deep passion for healing, family wellness, and pediatric care. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from La Sierra University and earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences. Since 2016, she has been providing chiropractic care to families in the Salinas community, offering services in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Sanchez is extensively trained and certified in a range of gentle, specialized techniques including:

• International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) trained
• PX Certified (neurology-based pediatric chiropractic)
• Webster Technique (pregnancy care)
• Mercier Therapy certified
• Trained in tongue tie and oral restriction-focused chiropractic
• Tonal, non-force chiropractic
techniques
• Craniosacral Therapy (currently completing certification)

Dr. Sanchez works with a wide range of patients, including infants with birth trauma, oral ties, and cranial distortions; neurodivergent children; adults with chronic migraines and headaches; and individuals seeking regular chiropractic care. Her goal is to help every patient—from newborns to adults—thrive with a healthy and balanced nervous system.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Sanchez loves spending time outdoors with her husband and their adventurous 2-year-old son. She enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring nature. She also has a deep love for cooking, traveling, reading, and continuing her education to better serve her patients.

We’re proud to present Mariela – Our Amazing Manager!
Mariela has been the heart of our chiropractic office for the past 4 years. As our Manager, she ensures our team delivers the best care possible. From coordinating daily operations and supporting our chiropractors to handling scheduling, training, and patient experience, Mariela wears many hats—and wears them well.

She’s passionate about helping people feel comfortable and confident in their care, and she’s always ready to answer questions or lend a hand. Thanks to her strong leadership and genuine care for others, Mariela helps create the welcoming, organized, and healing environment in our office.

Outside the office, Mariela keeps just as busy doing what she loves—she’s a whiz at doing nails and loves creating beautiful charcuterie boards for family gatherings. She’s also a big fan of hockey games, beach days, and trying new foods—she’s always up for a great meal with great company.

Say Hello to Merlin - The friendly face at our front desk!

When you walk through the doors of our office, Merlin’s warm smile is the first thing you’ll see. As our front desk coordinator, she manages scheduling, handles patient check-ins and check-outs, answers phone calls or questions. She is always ready to jump in and support wherever she’s needed, so our team can stay focused on providing you the best care.

Outside the office she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She also loves being outdoors —especially heading to the beach, hiking, catching a sports game, going to a concert, fun roadtrips or trying new foods. And when it’s time to relax, nothing beats a good movie.

We’re lucky to have her as part of our team, and we know you’ll love her too! 😊
