We want to be clear in our values. ICE raids and acts of violence create fear, grief, and lasting trauma for individuals, families, and entire communities. As a mental health clinic, we stand with immigrant communities and all those impacted. Safety, dignity, and access to care are fundamental to healing and are human rights.

As therapists, we see how easy it is to measure ourselves against what looks like progress online. As 2025 wraps up and 2026 begins, this is your reminder that highlight reels rarely tell the full story. Growth can be quiet. Healing can be slow. Small changes still matter.

If this year did not look impressive from the outside, it does not mean it lacked meaning.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Rise Wellness Collaborative 🤍

As the year winds down, we want to pause and thank our community for trusting us with your stories, your growth, and your healing. The holidays can bring joy, connection, grief, stress, or a mix of all of it, and all of those experiences are valid.

Wherever this season finds you, we hope there is room for rest, gentleness, and moments of care for yourself and those you love.

Wishing you peace, warmth, and continued healing in the days ahead.

At Rise Wellness Collaborative, we feel qualified to make this call. All of our mom clients have been extremely good this year. No notes.

We hear the real Christmas lists in session. Peace and quiet. A clean house that stays clean longer than a single nap. Sleep without interruptions. Help that does not require a detailed explanation or follow-up questions. Hot coffee, finished hot. Time alone without guilt. And maybe, just maybe, not being in charge for a day.

These are not unreasonable requests. They are the wish lists of people who do everything.

This holiday season, we hope our moms get exactly what they are asking for. Less responsibility. More rest. More support. And a few moments of feeling genuinely taken care of.

You have absolutely earned it.
With love,
Rise Wellness Collaborative

Winter can feel heavy, and seasonal shifts can affect mood more than we expect. If things feel harder this time of year, you are not broken. Your nervous system is responding to less light and more demand.

A few gentle ways to support yourself:

1. Tiny daily light exposure. A few minutes of morning daylight or sitting near a window can help regulate mood and energy.

2. Move the body gently. Think short walks, stretching, or movement that feels supportive rather than punishing.

3. Behavioral activation, but make it kind. Choose one small, meaningful or enjoyable activity each day. Small steps still count.

4. Name it, don’t shame it. Noticing seasonal changes with curiosity instead of criticism can reduce the emotional weight and open space for care.

You do not have to do all of this perfectly. Support can be simple, compassionate, and gradual.

The holiday season can bring up a wide range of emotions for parents. Some feel excited and energized, while others feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin. All of these experiences are valid.

At Rise Wellness Collaborative, we want to remind you that there is no one “right” way to navigate this time of year. Families have different needs, capacities, traditions, and dynamics, and good parents show up in all kinds of ways. Whether you’re simplifying, going all out, setting boundaries, or creating new traditions, you are caring for your family in the way that fits your life right now.

If this season feels heavier or more complicated than expected, you’re not alone. You deserve support, compassion, and space to care for yourself too.

Your version of the holidays is enough.❤️

At Rise Wellness Collaborative, we are deeply grateful for the clients and community who trust us with their stories, their healing, and their growth. It is an honor to walk alongside you, to witness your resilience, and to hold space for the moments that shape who you are becoming.

We are thankful for the courage you bring into the room, for the vulnerability you practice, and for the hope you continue to nurture even on the hardest days. We are also grateful for the wider community that supports this work and believes in the importance of mental and emotional wellness.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Thank you for showing up for yourselves. Thank you for reminding us every day why this work matters.

From all of us at Rise Wellness Collaborative, we are wishing you a gentle, warm, and grounded Thanksgiving. May this season bring rest, connection, and moments of peace.

At Rise Wellness Collaborative, our Community Corner has become one of our favorite parts of the lobby. Every item on these shelves has been generously donated by community members, then lovingly sorted by our team. We check expiration dates, fold clothing, and make sure everything is clean, safe, and in great condition so only the best items make it to families.

Everything in the Community Corner is completely free. No questions asked. Anyone is welcome to come in during our open hours and take whatever they need, no matter their income or situation.

Right now we’re stocked with formula, children’s books, costumes, clothing sizes newborn to 6, a bumbo, and a variety of toys and decorative items.

We’re also gearing up for our diaper and formula drive beginning Monday 11/24 to continue filling these shelves for families who rely on this space.

Thank you to our incredible Rise Wellness community for showing up again and again. Your generosity is helping us build a village, and we truly couldn’t do any of this without you.

As we head into the holiday season, we know things are especially tough for many families. 💛 If you’re able, we’re collecting diapers, formula, and baby essentials to support those who need a little extra help right now. 🍼✨

Today is World Kindness Day, and we are reminded of something we see in our office every day. Even the smallest acts of kindness can light up someone’s world. A kind word, a patient ear, a thoughtful gesture, it all matters. These little moments not only brighten someone else’s day, they brighten ours too and remind us how much good there is in people. Take a moment today to notice the kindness around you and share a little of your own.💙💛

This is one of my favorite quotes, and I often share it with my clients. It truly changed the way I approach my relationships. When I first heard it, I thought, “Wait, I don’t need to love someone and feel completely frustrated with them at the same time? I can just say no?”

It empowered me to start communicating more directly with the people I care about. “No, I can’t come to that.” “I don’t like being sent those links.” “I don’t want to talk politics at dinner.” Saying these things was not always easy or perfectly received, but over time I noticed something amazing. I felt less resentment and more love.

This holiday season, I want to remind you that boundaries are an act of love for yourself and for the people you care about. You cannot fully love others if you let them completely empty your cup. Take care of your needs and speak up about what matters to you. That is how love stays healthy and strong.
