Today’s family event was a blast! Huge thanks to Crystal from Heartland Hospice for the delicious pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream! Then the real excitement began! Three teams battled it out in our Thanksgiving Olympics by playing “Stuff the Turkey.” Team Tom gobbled up the victory with a record time of 28 seconds! Thank you to the families that attended!

We gathered around, mixing every ingredient by hand and shaping it into a festive mini cheese ball. Our hands were a mess, but we couldn’t stop laughing! The delicious flavor made every bit of stickiness worth it. Enjoying our creation with our favorite Culinary Club beverage made the moment even sweeter.

We’re so grateful to Britney with Optimal Care for hosting a delicious pumpkin pie and whipped cream dessert for our Terrace Community and Courtyard Community Family Events. It was a true success! A heartfelt thank you to the Washtenaw Christian Academy students and the U-M Geriatric Club for spending your time with us today. Our Terrace and Courtyard residents absolutely loved the engagement, conversation, games and crafts. One of the sweetest surprises was when a student was able to chat in Mandarin with a Mandarin-speaking resident.
