On Monday, March 2 our Daoism Study Group will feature a special guest speaker. Zhong XueChao (Master Bing) will join our group for a special Q&A session. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend in studio or online via Zoom and to bring your questions about Daoist life and training at Wudang Mountain. Our group meets on Mondays 4:15-5:15. As local snow cleanup will be continuing through the early part of the day today, there will be no morning classes. As of now, Great Bay Tai Chi will hold it's 6:30 Push Hands and Matching Set class.

Bobby Garcia returns to Internal Arts New England to teach an introductory seminar on Northern Praying Mantis. His classes are lively and dynamic, and his teaching style makes learning fun and accessible.

Praying Mantis combines sharp, responsive hand techniques with nimble, strategic footwork rooted in monkey stance and the Seven Stars method. This integration supports efficient entry, balance disruption, and smooth transitions into throws or takedowns, making it a dynamic system that pairs well with Doyle Irish Stick Fighting and other Internal Arts.

Our Daoism Study Group is growing as we prepare to begin discussing Eva Wong's interpretation of the Lieh-tzu text. On Monday, July 7, we begin to discuss Part 1. This is an excellent text to start with if you have never studied Daoism before. We meet on Mondays at 4:15 p.m. both at Internal Arts New England and via Zoom. Please email Chris@greatbaytaichima.com if you are interested in joining us. The study group is open to everyone. It is free to attend, though donations are accepted.
