Due to excessive no-call, no-shows in Edenton, we have increased our no-show fee to $50.

The no-show rate in Edenton has become an existential threat to our practice. We will continue to take all measures to ensure our no-show rate falls back to acceptable levels.

There are email, text and call reminders one-week and 48 hours before all appointments. We also call everyone the day before their appointment. We understandnd things come up, but no-show rates of 30-50% are not acceptable.

If you need to adjust your appointment, please call the office more than 24 hours in advance.

It is with great sadness that I announce the impending closure of our Salisbury location.

We certainly have great and loyal patients for whom we are grateful for and are blessed to have provided high-quality healthcare over the past four years.

However, we cannot continue to sustain the mounting losses incurred by the Salisbury location with the loss of revenue from the GLP-1 compounding ban and ongoing legal issues on which we cannot comment.

Dr. Bream will continue offering telemedicine services for Salisbury and weight loss patients.

I am proud of the team in Salisbury for how hard they have worked. We explored all options to keep the practice open; however, these did not materialize.

Our focus now is helping our patients and employees transition as seamlessly as possible. Our software system participates in Care Everywhere, so your records will be easily available electronically. Letters are in the mail for our patients.

Operations at our Windsor and Edenton offices will not be affected, and those offices are currently performing well.

Certainly, we wish for a different outcome. But the financial realities of operating an independent practice in Salisbury - among the myriad of challenges we have experienced - were just too daunting.

The Salisbury office physically will close August 22nd and operationally September 1st.
