Coastal Hospice was honored to connect with the community at the The Haitian Development Center of Delmarva for an educational outreach event.

During the conversation, our Spiritual Care team member Wil Sagesse, alongside Provider Relations representatives Lauren King and Crystal Holtzman-Tarr, shared how hospice and palliative care focus on comfort, dignity, and quality of life — not just for patients, but for caregivers as well.

We had meaningful dialogue about common misconceptions surrounding hospice and provided clear information about our interdisciplinary team approach, including nursing, social work, spiritual care, certified nursing assistants, volunteers, and bereavement support. Most importantly, we listened — answering questions, addressing concerns, and creating space for open, honest conversation.

We are grateful for opportunities like this to build trust, strengthen partnerships, and ensure families understand the compassionate support available when they need it most. 🤲🇭🇹

On National Caregivers Day, we honor the dedicated and compassionate caregivers who make a difference every day. We celebrate our incredible employees and volunteers at Coastal Hospice, as well as all professional caregivers and family members who lovingly care for relatives and loved ones.

Through illness, aging, and end-of-life, caregivers provide comfort, dignity, and unwavering support during life’s most vulnerable moments. Their commitment reminds us why this work matters.

Caregiving is both a privilege and a profound responsibility, and today we extend our deepest gratitude to all who give so selflessly. Thank you for the care, compassion, and hope you bring to others.
