Today, we salute Mr. Jesse Rudisell. Jesse has been with our firm since we opened in 2007. He is a highschool graduate and previously attended Livingstone College. He is the proud father of three children.

Jesse works in the role of funeral attendant. He often says, "Mr. Hairston taught me everything that know about funeral service".

"THE HAIRSTON WAY". From humble beginnings, this awesome and dedicated embalmer and funeral director, Tommy H. Hairston, Sr., not only dreamed of a career in funeral service, he lived it for over 40 blessed years.

His physical presence is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on through his wife, Velveeta Reid-Hairston who is not only in the business of helping others as a Social Worker but attained a diploma in Funeral Service almost a year after Tommy's passing. She now holds the reigns to move "The Hairston Way" forward with our licensed director/manager and current support staff on board.

With the ongoing support of this awesome community and family, the legacy of Tommy H. Hairston, Sr. will live on.

I say, "thank you" community and family for loving my best friend and husband all of the days of his life that God blessed him with.

Tommy was the epitomy of sincere care, respect, love, dignity and more. There will never, ever be another Tommy H. Hairston, Sr.

Our president/owner, Velveeta Reid-Hairston is a proud graduate (Class of 79'). She was crowned Ms. Alumni in 2013.

The T. H. Hairston, Sr. Memorial Scholarship applications have been distributed. Our firm has been awarding scholarships to graduating high school students since 2011. Students who continue their educational goals by enrolling in a college or university of their choice.

We are so proud to carry on the legacy of "giving" that our founder, Tommy H. Hairston, Sr. graciously lived by.
