The old structures of control are collapsing, the direction you want to go is no longer as dominated by the balancing act of expressing your true self AND towing the line. Even in the turbulence of modern times, there is more opportunity to channel your power into your authentic self than 10 or 20 years ago.

Hard work is still required to cement your energy into something tangible, but the path forward is clear. Focus on taking care of the details, and building the foundation that will stimulate your own personal expression, and be a place you can grow from.

Part of the teachings of Don Juan, the Yaqui shaman is “making yourself accessible to power”. He explains that you do this not by asking or demanding of the forces of nature, but by mastering and controlling your own “mood”, taking care to keep a state of openness that welcomes in power to be cultivated inside you for future use.

Force and struggle are not needed now, fearful hoping and wishing is not needed. The universe is asking us to open to its gifts with a trained awareness that can receive them how they present themselves.

This does not mean being idle, we practice our forms of self care and discipline to be the vessel for this power, the be able to contain and take advantage of good fortune and opportunity. If one mindlessly is waiting for the universe to present its inspiration, it can be easily lost in distraction.

Spring has arrived, though not in full force we can already feel the new growth and movement stirring. Listen to the song of the birds welcoming the warm air, the natural turn of the wheel spurring both nature and ourselves alive out of our slumber.

Let inspiration lead to the way, and leave behind old conflicts. Pay attention to what thoughts grip you, is your mind grounded in the new present moment, or laying a filter of past memories over your eyes, narrowing your vision of reality.

To grow requires walking into the unknown allowing the fruits of our actions to surprise us instead of assuming we know every possible outcome beforehand.

Get outside, dance with the mystery of the universe, and allow yourself to fully plant the seeds of openness to the limitless possibilities of each new day.

A bit of self reliance is being called for now. We can often wallow in wait for someone, or something to come in and save us - that desire causing us to look at life from a perspective of what is lacking.

We can look as an outsider at a group of friends, an organization or an artist that receives warm and kind praise, wishing we were a part of it, not seeing a way in, and feeling doomed.

But the social circles and version of ourself that we crave don’t even fully exist yet outside of the desire to create them. Pull your focus inward, focus on your destination and move forward to your goal with vigor. The circles that will surround you have yet to be created, but exist in the potential around you.

What you create must always be entirely new, and you have all the tools to accomplish it.

Daily cards March 6th

There is a big difference between pride and healthy self worth. Specifically with these cards, we are looking at where our sense of value comes from. Have we been putting too much weight on the opinions of others? Are those others people we even know, or are we allowing ourselves to be put onto the spell of total strangers via the internet.

We follow the theme of working ourselves out of our protective shell, and releasing the chains put upon us by jailers who only exist in our minds - created as an amalgamation of every scolding voice we hear and see in the world.

Your being, your inert goodness is the key out. Not in any kind of performative way, just the release into the truth that you are wholey enough exactly as you are, just for being your own unique self.

Daily Cards March 5th

Is your past holding you back, or are you holding onto your past? We can put so much energy into holding onto old hurts, subconsciously letting them be an excuse to play it small. After enough time, our old stories become a comfortable home, keep up trapped in grief.

Allow your past to be seen with a set of mindful eyes, ground yourself in the present moment, the honest reality of now, a moment seperate from those events. Honor the truth of the memories, while keeping yourself in the acceptance that this is an entirely new present moment.
